Author has written 1 story for Detective Conan/Case Closed.

I've been a raving anime fan for most of my life. I spend more time than is healthy reading fanfics... there are good ones and then there are... well... yeah. I'm your average anime fan and college student.

I currently have some major pet peeves with fanfiction:

1) Stories left hanging--If you aren't going to ever finish a story, be kind to your readers and tell them to not keep their hopes up. A simple "On haitus" or "Abandoned" works fine

2)Okay I've seen this one WAY too much lately: "wearily" vs "warily" PLEASE learn the difference! example (not from any story in particular):

"Harry wearily eyed the Deatheater"-->connotation: Harry is exasperated with the Deatheater or he is tired.

VS

"Harry warily eyed the Deatheater"-->connotation: Harry is being cautious around the Deatheater

"minute" vs "minuet"... A minute is a measure of time, whereas a minuet is "a slow, stately dance in triple meter, popular in the 17th and 18th centuries." (dictionary.com)

I Can't begin to express how much it breaks up the story for me. I don't read a story, I convert the words to images in my head, thus, when it says "He waited a minuet..." I suddenly have this image of a piece of violin music comming from who knows where... it seriously breaks the flow and some of the story impact is lost.

Okay, I usually don't do these, but I had to get this one:

Copy this into your profile if you think those kids should just give the Rabbit his damn Trix.

Check out my favorites! There are some great fics there.
