Kay, I'm finally changing my profile.

Me
Not much of a traveler; I've never been out of Canada. Twenty-nine, married to my highschool sweetheart, and now raising a little son who I love more than I'd ever imagined I could love someone. Have an apartment, family who live practically next door (closer, now that there's a grandbaby involved), a part-time job I love, and (finally!) a laptop. Life is routine. My OCD rejoices.

Books, Songs, Poetry, Whatever
a) Tolkien, Orson Scott Card, Ellis Peters (mediaval mysteries, and it was always the last person I suspected, though I'm not the sharpest knife), Dan Simmons, C.S. Lewis, Jane Austen, Madeleine L'Engle, Diana Wynne Jones. And regular mystery novels, especially ones with cats in them. Can't get my fill of 'em. Oh, and I've read the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer. Blush.
b) Sarah McLachlan, Barenaked Ladies, Jars of Clay. Uh, Weird Al Yankovic, Five Iron Frenzy. Also anything considered 'oldies', thanks to my husband. He's also trying to get me into jazz.
c) Not much for poetry, but I loved 'The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock 1917' by T.S. Eliot before I understood what it was about. Love Robert Frost's poems, at least all of the ones I've read. It's the way they sound, mostly: 'And miles to go before I sleep. And miles to go before I sleep.' Ahh. I also love a poem called 'The Hound of Heaven' by a man named Francis Thompson. It was the only poem he wrote that ever got any notoriety, and the last before he died of an opium overdose. It makes me remember what I need to remember, when I forget.
d) I stopped playing Final Fantasy games after IX. I've watched my husband (back when he was my boyfriend) play through all of the Silent Hill games. With all of the lights off. Clutching a pillow. I love Chrono Trigger, and I'll always remember Earthbound. Boing.

Anything else?

I've written some fics, mostly about Vincent and Tifa in a growing relationship, and maybe I'll write more. Sometimes I've written stuff that isn't fics. I like trees. I'm a sucker for mother-daughter stuff. I don't get my hair cut as often as I probably should. Most of my clothing is still hand-me-downs. Tea is the best thing in the world, I love chocolate, and I'll watch movies just because they're movies.

I used to have more detailed descriptions about my fics here, but then I took them down. It seemed dumb, and I got irritated with writing them. I couldn't even remember, eventually, why I was writing them. Some important reason in the beginning, I guess. Anyway. I also have an account at www.fictionpress.com/~thelittletree.
