Hello curious fellow fanfiction dot net members! If you’re curious about me, this would be the place to look. ;) I'm a Sophmore in college, don't have a declared major yet, but I've been taking classes from every end of the spectrum: French to Voice to Calculus to Nutrition to English...and I still don't know what I'm going to major in. My real life interests are equally as eclectic as my studying ones: I teach snowboarding and skiing, adore sci-fi, (hooray, Doctor Who, original Star Trek, Star Trek Voyager, Dollhouse, Firefly, Episodes 4-6 Star Wars!), own every known Shakespeare play (although I'm still working my way through all of them), and similarly, I love epic fantasy (whoot Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, George Martin, Brandon Sanderson!). Also, I am aggressively liberal (Obama's too conservative for my tastes, but I do like him pretty well!). I truly enjoy traveling in Europe (The Netherlands is BEAUTIFUL), and Africa (Capetown is beeeeeeeaaaautiful! I adore, adore, adore the cliffs around the ocean there), I was raised in a near-cult, neoconservative, fundamentalist family and broke out to stand on my own two feet at age seventeen. Despite the obvious negatives of being raised by an extremist lady, there were some positives! I come from a family of six kids, and in the line-up I fall as the third. In my opinion, being the middle child has caused me to become the enormously crazy and self-motivated person I am today. My mother homeschooled all of us children from K-12 (12th grade ending for me at age 16), and raised us with the aid of a succession of boyfriends after my dad died in 2006. It was my dad who introduced me to the delights of adrenaline rushes and he also facilitated most of my dangerous loves, such as horse-back riding, kite-flying, tree-climbing, and motorcycling. I also know the proper place to use a semi-colon versus a colon or hyphen. And the difference between affect and effect. They're very different and the effect using affect incorrectly has can be quite startling and can affect the reader's perception of the writer's intelligence and competence in everything from effective reasoning to affecting world economics. Use those words wisely, young padawans. My education may not have included sex ed or a reasonable version of world politics but I can change a tire, rewire bedroom, and cook awesome enchiladas. Now, however, I’m about as liberal as I was previously conservative—which is very! I'm an earth bunny, vegetarian-but-near-vegan, walking-human-dictionary (can you define and/or pronounce "weltanschauung"?), very active, scatter-brained, extremely organized, book-loving...college student.
