Note to Reviewers (Those who leave a review for someone else's story)
1) Flames are not reviews. They're a waste of time and do not change anything.
2) Flames and Constructive Criticism are not the same thing.
Ex. Flame: OMG that totally sucked! you suck! Stop writing, loser!
Ex. Constructive Criticism: "Your characters seemed out of character given your setting. You contradicted this plot point with this phrasing. Try developing this aspect more. I liked how you did this." Etc.
3) FORMAT YOUR STORY!! Since you have to be at least 13 to register here I'm certain most of us have taken the basic language classes. Paragraphs, Punctuation, Spell Check, dictionaries, thesauruses and Betas are you friends! m-w dot com if you're not sure.

Note to Writers:
1) Don't beg for reviews.
2) Don't beg for reviews and then get mad when they get, "I liked it a lot." If I had more to say I would. If you want a longer review, write something that will inspire me to elaborate. Just ask the writers who wrote something that got them such a review. Otherwise, "I liked it a lot." will have to do.
3) Don't hold chapters for ransom until they get X number of reviews. Holding chapters for ransom at all is immature and people will probably not waste their time.
4) Don't be obsessed with reviews. Reviews are lovely. We all like reviews. Don't obsess. Write for you and the reviews will come. If what you wrote is worthy of it, you won't have to beg. (See #1 & #2)
5) When receiving constructive criticism (see definition above), take it as such. Don't gripe and moan and "Oh woe is me, no one likes my stuff I'll just stop writing". Stop it. Grow up and take that advice and work it. Improve your story so that you can get those wonderful longer reviews you crave.
6) Get your own dang idea!! Do not post a non-story in a category begging people to give you ideas to write about in said category. Think of an idea and write it. If you can't even manage that, your story probably won't be very good anyway. PS to post a non-story violates the rules of FF dot net. You've been warned.
7) STOP WRITING ABOUT REAL PEOPLE!! Okay, first I just have to say I have another reason to dislike Disney as they've made life very hard on this point. But there is a difference between "Real People" and "Fictional Versions of Real People with the consent of said Real People." I'll come back to that in a moment.
+First, writing about real people is against the rules of FF dot net and it clogs up the categories with useless junk making it less likely someone will be able to find your other work to read it. I don't want to read about Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdales suicidal love triangle that came about from last weeks drug fest. Nor do I want to read your latest love dream about any one of the Jonas Brothers. 1. it's not true. 2. how would you feel if people wrote that stuff about you? And 3. if I want that stuff I'll pick up this weeks tabloid. Which, again, I don't. I realize I don't have to read such postings - I don't - but like I said, makes it harder to find what I DO want to read and so I give up because I won't waste my time and you get one less review on your actual fic that I might have read if I hadn't had to wade through all the unauthorized stuff. You brought it on yourself, dude.
+Now back to the Disney point. Given Hannah Montana and next year's J.O.N.A.S., we need to redefine some lines. Writing about real people in the real world is disrespectful and against FF dot net rules. HOWEVER, as long as you can realize the difference between Real Life and Fiction, writing about HM and J.O.N.A.S. can be okay. The Jonas Brothers as featured on Hannah Montana are FICTIONAL VERSIONS OF THEIR REAL SELVES! They have been placed in a fictional world of their agreement. What does this mean in simple terms? Nick Jonas+Hannah Montana = Okay. Nick Jonas+Miley STEWART = Okay. Nick Jonas+Miley CYRUS = BAD WRITER, YOU BROKE THE RULES. Get it? Same thing applies to J.O.N.A.S. This is a FICITONAL WORLD agreed upon by the REAL SELVES and therefore the people placed in it by the creators are actually fictional as well, though somewhat BASED OFF OF the actors real selves. Still, FICTIONAL VERSIONS of their real selves in a FICTIONAL world permitted by the Real People.
