Hey there, everybody! I am the mighty Iwin Ulose, or Iwin for short.

(12-19-2008) - For those of you wondering where the hell I've been and why I'm not continuing my fics (especially A Year to Remember), I just want to apologize. Life is very busy now. I have a 2-hour commute 5 days a week for a 9-5 IT job in NYC. I don't have much free time, and I use most of it to try to keep up with my friends in the MMOs I play. ALSO, I have mostly lost my inspiration for the fics I currently have posted. Lately, I've been really wanting to start a Maple fic (thanks to Revolt of the Archers... damn you, Kal), but haven't had the time to really sit down and write it. So please, any few fans I might have left... Don't hate me! =(

About me:

I like manga. I am currently OBSESSED with One Piece. Luffy is my freakin' hero! (and I am a LuffyxNami fan...) I have also read MANY other mangas, too many to count. My favorites include Gantz, Mahou Sensei Negima, Hajime no Ippo, Claymore, Eyeshield 21, Naruto, Hayate the Combat Butler, AIKI, the Rosario + Vampire series, and Ai Kora. If you were looking for Bleach in that list and wondering why it's not in there, make no mistake: I HATE that manga. I am fully caught up to it and still read the weekly updates, but I sometimes wonder why I bother. It's the very definition of the term "heavily overrated". As for anime... Anime kind of annoys me now, as they usually disappoint me after reading the manga, but I'll always love Full Metal Alchemist (haven't read the manga yet), Cowboy Bebop, Yu Yu Hakusho, and of course, Dragonball/DBZ. I like Pokémon fanfics, but I'm not really into the manga or anime anymore.

My favorite video games include the MegaMan series and MegaMan X series, Kingdom Hearts (for PS2 and GBA; Sora all the way!), DBZ Budokai/Tenkaichi series, Conker's Bad Fur Day, and all Super Smash Bros games. I play an MMORPG called MapleStory. I also like this extremely funny mostly-text-based MMO called The Kingdom of Loathing. I don't play it anymore, but I still highly recommend giving it a try, especially if you're the "intellectual" type and love good laughs in a game that can also be taken seriously. This section is for those who read my Pokémon fic, Pokémon World.

Zac Merlo (Age: 10)

Zac is a 5th grader who is stuck in the Pokémon World. He is from the "Real World". When he was there, he thought Pokémon was just an anime show and a popular Game Boy game. Well, he was wrong. He is now searching the real, live Pokémon World for a way back home. However, he is not exactly eager to return to the Real World. He has found the joys of being a Pokémon Trainer. He greatly enjoys traveling the world and collecting Gym Badges. Like many before him, he wants to collect the 8 badges and become the League Champion.

Zac has thick, slightly spiky brown hair with relatively long bangs, bright blue eyes, and a somewhat pale complexion. He is very lightweight and is just a tiny bit short for his age. He normally wears a red T-shirt and blue jeans, and during the winter he wears a big red ski coat. 'Cause, you know, ski coats are cool. He is really smart, although he does not act like it. He is a natural leader, and he often acts like it. Even though he makes it look like he does not really care about people's feelings, he really does, and he will show it when he feels it is necessary. Zac is also brave. He very, very rarely lets nerves affect him. As a result, it is a rare sight to see him scared or nervous.

Chris Mattice (Age: 10)

Chris was a classmate of Zac's in the Real World, and they were actually together when they were sucked into the Pokémon World. He wants to find a way home more than Zac, but not necessarily because he wants to go back home; he simply knows it is the practical thing to do. He, too, is now a Pokémon Trainer, and he, too, enjoys it, but he is not as enthusiastic or ambitious as Zac is about it. Chris thinks of getting into the Pokémon League as a sort of time killing thing while they work on their true mission. A "side quest", if you will.

Chris has smooth, dirty blond hair. It is almost always neatly combed. He has hazel eyes and a very pale complexion. His face goes red very, very easily. Also, he is fat. There is no way of getting around this fact or making it less blunt; he is fat. He is slightly taller than Zac, making him about average height for his age. He wears a blue long-sleeved shirt, gray sweatpants, and a blue jean jacket for cold weather. Chris, like Zac, is smart, but unlike Zac, he shows it. However, Zac is still in some ways smarter than him. Chris is generally a very pleasant kid to talk to and acts much more polite than Zac. He has given up on trying to make Zac act as polite as him. Chris can get scared or nervous quite easily, but he always pulls himself together in the end and comes out of his ordeal successful. He is also a very loyal friend, if you can completely win his trust. Despite his very kind nature, it is quite hard to gain his trust and become good friends with him.

Andrew Homlish (Age: 6)

When Andrew was sucked into the Pokémon World, he ended up in Pewter City with two other kids he did not know. While randomly exploring the Viridian Forest, a Pikachu befriended him by its own freewill and started following him. Andrew, having absolutely no clue what he was doing, then challenged Brock. He lost horribly, and Brock told him to go catch and train a Mankey before having a rematch. This was when Andrew ran into Zac and Chris. Zac recognized him as "the little boy down the street." Zac lived on the same street as him in the Real World, so the two of them knew each other. Zac and Chris helped catch and train a Mankey, and Andrew beat Brock. Even though he is technically too young, he is working on becoming a Pokémon Trainer just like Zac and Chris are.

Andrew has curly, dirty blond hair and brown eyes. He has a fair complexion, but his skin always has a tan since he likes being outside so much. He is very lightweight and is a bit short for his age, though it is hard to tell since he is so young. He wears a red and blue T-shirt with the large, yellow Pokémon logo that is very well known in the Real World. Of course, it draws stares from people who live in the Pokémon World. He wears red shorts. He also wears a light blue winter coat when it is cold. Andrew is very eccentric. He is far from normal, or even mentally healthy. He has random outbursts about things like chicken nuggets, jelly beans, and many other random foods and/or objects. He is extremely hyper and is always bouncing off the walls. All in all, he is a pain in the ass for Zac and Chris to travel with. They are always watching him very carefully as he will often disappear when they are not paying attention. They often try to make him calm down when in public. He especially pisses Zac off very often and Zac yells and curses at him in response. Andrew always just laughs it off, though, and Zac does not stay mad at him for long. Even though he is reckless and carefree, Andrew does have his serious and intelligent moments. However, they are so far and few between, it is hard for Zac and Chris to remember they even exist.
