NEW: DECEMBER 25, 2011 It's my new years resolution to finish Professor Itachi, and thus the whole Itachi/HP story line. Lets all cross our fingers. Name: Mistress DragonFlame Favorite-- Random Facts-- My Preferred Pairings-- To me, parings make or break a story. I can't read a story in which a couple I don't believe in is present. This is a list in for all my couples I support, in the most major story lines I read. Ooh, random things/sayings! -The mark of a good fanfiction writer is when someone has read your work, but can't remember that it wasn't actually from the original. Stories I am extremely ashamed of: Stories I am ashamed of: Stories I don't necessarily like or dislike: Stories I actually like: Stories I love: Because JKR didn't expand well on her use of Arithmancy, I have come up with magical meanings for each number. It plays a part of my up-coming story, 'Harry Potter and the Deal with Death'. I also find it an highly entertaining idea, and love the concept enough to post it publicly in hopes of it catching. One is simple, let stand alone, letting it be whole, and is represented by Air. Two is balance, understanding, fulfillment and Water. Three is power, the meaning of magic, Life. It is second only to seven in it’s ability, but it is inclined more to the natural side such as centaurs, phoenixes, and sphinx and so on. Surprisingly werewolves are included in this, but any ‘undead’ creature is not (Vampires, zombies, and so forth). Four is taint, poison, lingering, Death. Natural undead creatures (not man-made, like Inferi) fall under the influence of this number, but as it is not as powerful as either three or seven, it doesn't help them all that much. Five is attack, success, action, Fire. Six is reflection, deflection, defense, and represents Chance/Luck/Fate. Seven is the Perfect number, but most things (spells, charms, wards, etc) cannot handle a full seven without a back up of at least a three. It is not represented by anything but itself, though is the combination of Life and Death; four and three. It is more inclined to, instead of natural, to the unnatural; man with magic is an unnatural occurrence, like the gene for red-hair, and is probably why wizards value it so much more then three; it favors them over the ‘half-breeds’. Eight is plotting, revolution, renewal, Earth. Nine, being three times three, three plus four plus two, is surprisingly weak against its peers, but it does grant health, wealth, and most especially fertility; naturally, it doesn’t get used often in magic rituals/spells. It is the embodiment of Spirit. Zero, of course, is nothing, represents nothing, and is the embodiment of nothing. In magical uses, it doesn’t even serve as an abstract theory like it does in true math. Most wizards mistake it to represent Muggles, because of their non-magical state. If a number is larger then nine, then it equates to the break down of it. For instance, thirteen is one and three. It is therefore a whole, powerful, perfectly balanced, and evil—one plus three is four for the evil of it, and three subtract one is two for the balance; thirteen is therefore more evil then four, but less fundamental. A serial killer vs. a Mob boss, for instance. The killer will kill for the sake of killing, but the boss will kill you because of a (selfish) reason. | |||||||||
