Author has written 65 stories for Final Fantasy VII, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy X, Metal Gear, James Bond, Super Smash Brothers, and Guitar Hero. It only took me two years to write a new profile, but I did it in the end. Hi. I'm Holly, and I'm painfully addicted to fanfiction. I started when I was either lately eleven or newly twelve, but my travesties of that period have been scourged from this site, never to be seen again (I stopped short of actual Suefests, though; OOCness and questionable grammar was my thing, what small consolation that is). When I was about thirteen I realised I was being ridiculous and began to get more involved and more caring about my single solitary fandom at the time - Final Fantasy VII. I developed an incredible love for the Cloud/Yuffie pairing (which I, being a fanbrat, called 'Clouffie', like the football manager) and wrote a lot of it, not much of it very good. I played MGS1 and 2 at about this time, fell in love, but didn't feel comfortable with the whole concept of writing anything based on it and let the love go latent in the back of my mind like a fandom time-bomb. (It was about this time I finally got the hang of slash, after crusading against it for however long - I literally got out of bed one morning and thought, 'wait, now I get it'. Snake and Otacon are entirely to blame. Ironically, my MGS slash OTP was Snake/Raiden. It seems to have pinged back to Snake/Otacon in recent years, though.) I made a lot of extremely awesome friends, grew up a lot, and started rampantly slashing anything that would stand still for a while before easing off to a few preferred pairings. Then Advent Children came out. I didn't like it. The result of me no longer being able to find anything good to read chased me into the MGS fandom where I am currently residing. Since my relationship with FF7 is codependant, I can never entirely leave it, no matter how much it hurts me and breaks my heart - but that doesn't mean I can't sneak off and have a torrid affair with MGS when FF7's not looking. Oh, yes! I now run the mgs_slash community on LiveJournal, after the old mods decided to quit. I'm utterly in love with the comm, so, if you're interested in MGS slash or femmeslash, give it a look. General fandom history aside: O I seem to like pairings that involve some affectionate in-fighting, especially in slash. I'm not talking out-and-out hatesex, and the two characters might utterly belong to one another, but I want them to at least have the spine to shoot down the other person's stupid ideas, and to be definable as two seperate people. O I only seem to be able to write one-shots because I have a problem with finishing stuff. O My list of fanfiction pet peeves is as long as my arm and I won't recite it here. O I like crackfic, crack pairings, and general non-canon-y fun - but I try very hard not to go OOC. OTHER STUFF I doodled a little piece of art for my fic, Heartrate. If you're interested, it's here.
