So, I've had this account for years, but never bothered to post anything to it. Well, that time has come to an end. It's just too much of a bother to update a regular webpage, and for all its ideosyncracies, FFnet has a solid userbase and is at least semi-stable. My writing style has improved to the point that I feel comfortable sharing what I write with others. Rather, I feel comfortable sharing with other people who are not family, friends, or members of forums to which I post

BUT! Do not think that you can simply flame my work. I write purely for my own entertainment, to get the voracious plot-bunnies-from-hell out of my mind. I often lose interest in stories in short order, but if enough people want to read more, I can probably force myself to finish one or two. -grins- Positive, constructive comments will be taken as the advice they are, and be duly considered. Questions related to plots will often be answered with a "you'll see later". Flames, complaints, and questions about when I'll be updating will be ignored. And with that, I should start posting chapters to things.

Update 9/11: Wow, less than six hours and I get five reviews for Null Signature? I can't promise super-rapid updates, but I'll likely be focusing my muse on this, with writer's block breaks to work on Forgefire Chronicles and a new, secret project.

Update 10/04: Apparently, I didn't make myself clear above. I don't take anonymous reviews because if you want to flame and insult me, you will do so to my face or not at all. And if you flame me anyway, or write a review just to complain and nitpick, I'll respond in kind. This goes double if you don't have any work of your own to post to FFnet--those who cannot create for themselves can shut it.

Update 11/08: So the next chapter of Null signature is up. It's not up to my usual standards, but it's just filler anyway. I anticipate three more chapters, maybe four or five, will finish off first year. Plans for this one leave it as finished by fourth year at the latest, so it's entirely possible I'll finish this in a couple months. Probably not though, writing Harry is becoming more of a chore than something fun.

Update 01/21: A new year, but no progress on Null Signature or Forgefire. On the other hand, I've got a short two-shot for something else. First part is up already, second part will be up soon, maybe by day's end. An impressive feat indeed, since it's the first--and currently only--fic for Figure 17 on FFnet. Null Signature 5 is about 3/4ths done, but I've got some remapping to do for the rest of the plot. Expect timeskips in the new chapter. Also, I've decided to allow e-mails and messages. I was a bit concerned about random flames when I opened up last year, but I'm much less depressed now and I think I can handle writing scathing replies to idiots. The rest of you, feel free to send your opinions along.
