Author has written 10 stories for Fairy Tail, Seven Realms series, Victorious, and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.

Formerly known as ArchAngel-Angelo.

My first name is Matthew. I won't give you my last (I'm not that big of an idiot). I live in Kentucky, USA, and hope to go to the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver after I graduate from high school. I am currently a sophmore, or grade 10, and am 15 years old. My birthday is June 3rd and I expect lots and lots of presents (joking). I am currently learning Korean. I'm a slow updater, missing chances to update and write by many unforeseen circumstances, including my laziness, but I will update. I will never leave a story unfinished, I will (eventually) finish.

I'm not that big of a cliche person, but they can be fun to have once in a while. I may also use them for reasons that people wouldn't think of. Example: the end of Thunder Spirits ended with Lucy and Laxus announcing they were having twins. It's cliche, but truthfully, the only reason I did twins was because I had absolutely no idea if it should be a boy or a girl, so I said to myself "Screw it, I'm going with twins". End of example.

I will support almost any relationship with Lucy in it, except Nalu and whatever LokexLucy is called. They are used way to much and go through a stricter regime of mine. What's really important to me in stories is the grammar.

I know I've had my own mistakes, and you wouldn't believe how aggravating it is to me when I find them, but my word processor doesn't check for grammatical mistakes. I've learned to deal with that in a way so that it doesn't really bother me, so as ong as mistakes aren't really obvious (like commas instead of semi colons, blah blah blah, etc etc etc) I won't mind. I also appreciate the use of real words, like 'thank you' instead of 'ty' or 'you' instead of 'u', etc. It just really pushes my buttons (and yes, I really did just say pushes my buttons. My favorite type of stories are Romantic/Drama and Romantic Comedy, they just seem more interesting and suspenseful to me, plus a good laugh.

My favorite anime are:

Fairy Tail (#1 fav)

D.Gray-Man

Naruto

Naruto Shippuden

Bleach

Mew Mew Powers (Tokyo Mew Mew)

Sailor Moon

Needless

Vampire Knight

Ouran High School Host Club (favorite comedy)

and many more...

Things I like to do include:

Reading

Writing

Listening to music

Play video games

Swim

Update!!! August 26, 2012

So apparently there are people on fanfiction that will steal other people's stories and claim them as their own, never knew about that till today. Honestly, it sickens me that people would do that. Now if they took the idea based around the story, I think that would be okay. EX: A few weeks ago, I was messaged by a reader who wanted to write a story similar to my first story, "The Beginning: Part 1 of the Guardian Trilogy". He (or she) asked if they could use the idea of Lucy and others forming a band. Now that hadn't been my original plan for that story, it had somehow warped into that. I had made it clear to s/he that as long as they didn't use my OC's, I was okay with it. What s/he wanted to do was not what my story was about so I had no right to say no, if I had wanted to. The idea of having the group become a band is not mine, I can not own an idea like that. It's ridiculous. But if a person takes a story or idea, and then develops it exactly the same way, then that's not okay.

Onto a similar topic, I read an article about famous and popular authors and their opinions on fan-fiction (as a whole, not just the website). Most didn't like the idea of fan-fiction, and strongly oppose it. Now I can see where they are coming from. I have multiple books of my own that, though haven't been published (nor have I tried, yet), I would not want people to take and copy. But I don't think that's what fan-fiction, nor the authors of fan-fiction, are intending. Where there might be some with that intent, I believe that vast majority create fan-fiction as not only a way to show their love for these books, shows, games, etc. and their creators but to show their opinions about certain topics within them.

I think many authors misunderstand the goals the authors of fan-fiction have. Very few, if any, actually do this for money. Quite a few don't even have goals and dreams that involve the writing of books or intimate knowledge of how a good story is written. Many do it for the love of writing and to spread their creativity with others, not to rip-off these creators or mock their stories. I myself didn't know I wanted to be an author until I started writing on fanfiction.net, and now I write to cultivate my skills and for the plain old joy of doing so.

No one claims to own what inspired their stories, just what they themselves did to try to make the story their creating more their own, such as the plot they invented. I don't try to say stuff like "Oh, I created Fairy Tail, that's why I'm allowed to write fan-fiction about it.". No! I always put a disclaimer at the beginning of the story, and if I haven't, it's jut because I've forgotten. If somehow, Hiro Mashima, the creator of Fairy Tail, somehow came across one of my stories and told me that he didn't like that I wrote it in the first place, I would understand why he's upset. I would try to defend my story, saying that I wasn't trying to harm him at all and just trying to spread the happiness I felt with the idea of the story with others. That without him, my story wouldn't have been possible. If he still didn't want my story up, I would take it down, but my respect in him would seriously drop.

To make my story feel like it's something that could've happened in the original story, but at the same time make it original, I, personally, try to create my fanfiction so that it's strongly dependent on what's happened in the original story up to the point where I have it starting. For example, "Thunder Spirits" wouldn't have become what it did if not for events in Fairy Tail. The Phantom Lord attack is what inspired Lucy to leave. Laxus' arrogant attitude that he originally had is what caused Makarov to send him off. Celestial Spirit magic is what inspired Spirit Magic. Dragon Slayer Magic is what inspired the fight between Laxus and Natsu. Another example, my "Guardian Trilogy" is totally dependent on everyone going to the Spirit Realm and the Grand Magic Games, without those two, the "Guardian Trilogy" wouldn't have been possible.
