A profile…..or bio, if you prefer. I have no idea why you would want to hear about me. My stories would probably be more interesting. But, as you have been kind enough to visit my profile, I’ll fill you in. My pen name is NOT my real name, of course. I am formerly known as 'Terreis', but I have recently changed it. My inner fangirl would no longer be silenced. 'Beckett' is, of course, taken from Dr. Carson Beckett of 'Stargate: Atlantis'. Eyes, dimples, accent, medical career...what can you NOT like about the man? 'Tierney' is actually a name I was going to use for an 'Atlantis' story. She was to be a romantic interest for the charming Carson. However, after the episode 'Duet' aired, I became a staunch Carson/Cadman advocate and the story was abandoned. But the name's so pretty, I couldn't just not use it. I’ve discovered that I’m older than the majority of the people on this site. At least, the people I’ve met. I’m 30 and I live in the Southern region of the wonderful United States of America. Not that the other countries are bad. I’d love to visit most of them, in fact. But I’ll stay right here for the long term, thank you. I’m insane. That seems to be a trait I share with most of the fanfiction authors I’ve met. And I’m weird. Another shared trait. My fandoms kind of run all over the map. So I guess you could add ‘eclectic’ to the mix as well. I often listen to music when I write and it generally winds up inspiring me. Music is in my soul, at the risk of sounding clichéd. In other words, I’m the type of person that usually can’t stop singing……at all. Anyway, I draw inspiration from all sorts of music. ‘Lord of the Rings’ soundtrack, ‘Phantom of the Opera’ soundtrack, ‘Anne of Green Gables’ soundtrack, Josh Groban, Michael Crawford, DC Talk, Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline, MercyMe, some 80’s ballads, and…..well, you get the general idea. I have an offshoot organization from one of my most popular stories, the ‘Fanfiction Fellowship’. It’s called ‘Muses-R-Us’ and I run it with my two muses, Haldir and Daniel Jackson.
