Author has written 27 stories for Pretender, General Hospital, China Beach, West Wing, ER, CSI, Division, and Birds Of Prey. If ever there was a guilty pleasure, it is fan fiction. I was introduced to the overarching genre at a very young age and dove in with disturbing alacrity! Few people are aware of my affinity for writing and reading it - it's sort of a private world that I have chosen to keep to myself. A few details: I currently work in broadcast news and have chosen to attend law school in Fall 2008. My biggest passions in life are, in order: politics, law, and news. I channel these three by writing, disseminating information, and teaching. In addition to my work with television, I've written several articles on civil, indigenous, and gay rights in the US, Australia, and Japan. Currently, I'm working on a media study of the High Court of Australia. Tim Russert and Katharine Hepburn were my 'famous' heroes, my grandmother and father were my others. I've learned the power of legacies and the importance of strength of character. I have also learned the power of reviews. Working on Contingency (Pretender) has given me more insight than any previous story, as it has taken more time, heartache, and energy than anything I've ever put pen to paper on before. Those writers and readers who have sent me messages or written reviews have given me the push needed to continue the tale after an absence of nearly two years. While I'm writing the story for myself - to see where it goes, to finish a chapter, to fulfill a goal - I'm also writing it for those people who have given me the inspiration to continue. As a result, I'm trying to take the time to go back, find the stories I have loved over the years, and make sure the authors know how appreciative we are of their work. Thank you to everyone out there who has, over the years, encouraged a writer (myself and others), written a story, had a brilliant idea, or dared to dream - in any capacity at all.
