Heya there. I'm a teenage American on a foreign exchange program for one year in Germany. That seems to be my definition of this year. I've recently decided that I'd like to be a doctor when I grow up, no doubt influenced by House, though I'd been considering the option since middle school. Mostly I'd like to go into probably Pathology, Cardiology, Neurology, Infectionist Diseases or as an Intensivist or Surgeon, though I'd have to try them out first, obviously. I'd also like to go to med school either in Australia or Canada or in NYC.
My new obsessions are House and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I still harbor a soft spot for R/BB, but nowadays I'll only read the very best. Of House, my favorite character is Chase, though I like House and Wilson as well. I jumped into the show with the last half of season three, and have now gone back and watched it from beginning to end, though I have yet to see any fourth season episodes. My favorite pairings are Chase/Cameron, House/Cuddy and House/Stacy. I also enjoy Chase and House friendships and House and Wilson friendships. While I used to like Cameron, most of the episodes have me grumbling at her to shut up and get off her high morally superior horse of ethnics. I also don't like how the writers seem to love her and hate Chase, seeing as he was basically absent all of season two and most of season one. But that could just be the Chase fan in me talking. Of TMNT, I've watched all of the 2003 episodes, save for a couple of FF ones. Mikey is my favorite, though I like the others too, at least in the show. And as old obsessions go, I like Teen Titans, (Raven/Beast Boy fan, with BB as my favorite and a well written non angsty Raven as my second), Kingdom Hearts, and Fruits Basket (Kyo for me).
I love to read and play video games as well. Favorite video games include KH, Okami, NOLF2, God of War, Guitar Hero II, Zeldas and a couple of others I can't remember right now. I also dabble in the occasional Guild Wars from time to time, though with this laptop and a wireless connection, and a lack of any other gaming system, I've been a little bit on the deprived side. Same with books - everything here is in German and I can't get past anything but the simplest of children's books, thanks to my having only been here for nearly three months, including a four week language course included in the program. Ah well, hopefully it'll come.
I like writing at times, both prose and poetry, though I haven't really written anything in a long time, so I'm rather rusty. I'm kinda working on that. Right now I'd probably be lookin' to writing House fics, since I do better with romance, though it'd probably be mostly Chase centric. I have better luck with writing summaries and coming up with titles than writing them, sometimes.
Don't really expect me to update or even to post anything, because I'm notoriously lazy and a procrastionator. It comes with the fanfic territory - no deadlines = no pressure = no updates. w00t.
