Author has written 5 stories for Fire Emblem.

12.11.08: I just received a review for one of my older stories, and I read it over so I could remember what and how I had written. With that, I realized that my writing isn't as flowery as it used to be. All of PC's chapters seem to be devoid of description and detail, which makes me a little annoyed with how far I've fallen. But I think that's what I get after taking an English AP class with such an experienced teacher. I've learned how to be strictly concise when writing, getting straight to the point within the essay, and I think that's what's been carrying over into my fanfiction.

12.25.08: Well... Oops. I guess I violated my declaration about writing shounen-ai by a small margin. Just a little.

8.30.09: I didn't realize it at first, but now that I look back, I can see that if I like a male tsundere, then I will absolutely and unconditionally love them, such as Kamijou Hiroki and Li Kouyuu. Heh.

11.18.09: Almost Thanksgiving! I can't wait to go back home. I am so sick and tired of college life. The best part? I get the entire week off!!

Some Important Notes I Want to Make Clear

1) Really. The lot of you, get it right. It's grammar. G-R-A-M-M-A-R. I have the worst compulsion to simultaneously laugh and feel like committing some crazy (not necessarily heinous, though I may often desire it) act whenever I see "grammer." At the very least, spellcheck, or get an editor. And don't be a hypocrite. Don't say, "I didn't see any real grammer mistakes." XP

But hey, go here! http://www.bartleby.com/141/ The Elements of Style, to the dot.

Oh, yeah... I might sound like a giant hypocrite myself for saying this, but this rant doesn't apply to my first three stories since I will definitely be getting around to fixing them in the near future. I wrote them my freshman year of high school. I only learned of the holy Style book my junior year. :P Believe me, I wish I had been acquainted with it earlier.

2) God, the one thing I hate more than bad "grammer" on this site. I will rant because I feel it imperative. (Ironic how I listed it as number two if I hate it more than number one...but that's not what's important.)

I absolutely hate/detest/abhor you (insert appropriate derogatory insult) people out there who whine and scream and beg for reviews. The point of writing is to write for yourself. "I won't update until I get so and so number of reviews."/"The main reason I'm not updating. Not enough reviews."/"Want more? Review, people!" Do you people honestly know how sad that is? Reduced to begging for reviews, eventually even for flames at some point. Why do you degrade yourselves this way? No writer in the real world out there writes what people want to read; they write what they themselves want to write. Write, regardless of the quantity/quality of reviews you get!

The satisfaction is supposed to come from the process, not from the reviews. Yes, they make you happy, but I bet the authors who don't care about their review count are happier.

If you write what people want to read, then the only credit you get is putting someone else's thoughts into words. Get it? You write. Your own. Have your readers connect with the unique imagination your ideas communicate. I quote from Thomas C. Foster, "...a reader's imagination is the act of (your writing's) one creative intelligence engaging another (reader's)."

Those of you know who you are. Take it to heart.

3) Agh, how many times have I seen this mistake?! Where did it even come from? My dear fellow authors, characters cannot speak when you do not write something to indicate that sound is coming from their mouth! I cannot count how many times I have seen dialogue written with only an action to go with it. The characters have to be 'saying' something! Saying, whispering, shouting, grumbling, whatever it may be. It is not possible to have words come from your mouth with just a bodily action. Understand this, please!!

Also for some of you, please note how to properly punctuate dialogue. XP There are plenty of authors who write beautifully, but their mechanics are all over the place. If the sentence is an exclamation or a question, then it's fine to end the dialogue with the proper punctuation mark, but if the sentence is normal and would usually end with a period, replace the period with a comma! That is, unless the character is not 'saying' something. Then you put the period. And the end punctuation mark always goes inside the quotation marks.

Jak102 is a girl, no matter what her profile says. I know her personally. She may be my best friend, but she really pisses me off the most sometimes. Don't all your best friends? The irony.

Please note, I support shounen-ai (not yaoi, there is a difference between the two!), although I do not write it.

Stop the Pairing Wars!

By copying and pasting this in your profile, you vow to respect other pairings and the people that like them.

You shalt not insult them, explain why they can't be together, or say that they would rather be with someone else.

You shalt have your opinions but shalt not insult pairings. You shalt avoid them if you hate them.

You shalt keep an open mind about stories even if you despise the pairing.

You shalt paste this in your profile.

Name: Rei/Reno (I could be considered a figurative schizophrenic by most when you look at the difference; these aren't my real names, but respective ones that reflect personality. If it's any interest, I, on the whole, happen to be neutral concerning most things, and my D&D alignment is true neutral - no, I do not play. This just proves some of the theory surrounding Rei and Reno.)

Birthdate: March 6

Ethnicity: Asian

Favorite color: anything that settles within the range of green or blue (sometimes red) except neon/fluorescent/of the like, and I also like silver

I'm an avid anime fan and gamer. That's basically all you need to know. XD I also like dramas. I like to read, draw, dream/write, work logic, sing (or at least make some sort of music), and especially sleep.

Current video game fandom: Fire Emblem 10: Akatsuki no Megami

Favorite character(s): Janaff, Oscar, Ranulf

Last video game fandom: Tales of the Abyss

Favorite character(s): Jade Curtiss, Guy Cecil

Current anime fandom: Rurouni Kenshin

Favorite character(s): Sagara Sanosuke

Last anime fandom: GetBackers

Favorite character(s): Midou Ban

Favorite pieces of music that I could never, ever get tired of: "Eien no Setsuna" by ON/OFF, "Treasure" duet from Gensoumaden Saiyuki by Toshihiko Seki/Sanzo and Hoshi Souichiro/Goku, and "True to Your Heart" from the Mulan Disney soundtrack by 98 Degrees (Runner-up: "Ryuusei" by TiA or "Omokage" from Shaman King by Hayashibara Megumi)

Catchiest song I've heard: "Deep in Your Heart" by Doumoto Kouichi (Runner-up: "Sakura Kiss" by Kawabe Chieko)

Favorite seiyuus - in order, more or less: Sakurai Takahiro, Seki Toshihiko (but first in my favorites regarding quality of voice acting - a job well done!), Koyasu Takehito, Hoshi Souichirou, Fukuyama Jun, Koshimizu Ami, Seki Tomokazu, Maeda Ai

Favorite actors: Sakamoto Kazuya, Sakamoto Naoya, Sato Takeru, Miura Yuu, Seto Koji, Furukawa Yuuta, Miura Haruma

Favorite bands: ON/OFF, Ali Project (black Alice), Halcali

Favorite book: I absolutely worship The Elements of Style by Strunk and White. (Yeah, so I'm a bit of a freak - as if that wasn't obvious enough already, but this book is everything!)

Instrument: flute (El Toro Royal Blue Regiment 2005-2009) and piano

Favorite band ensemble pieces: "Molly on the Shore" by Percy Grainger, "Russian Christmas Music" by Alfred Reed, "Hymn of the Highlands" by Frank Ticheli, "Second Suite for Military Band in F Major" by Gustav Holst

Random: I was disappointed with Tales of Legendia's animation and its character sprites, which makes it hard to take the game seriously. But the music makes up for almost everything, in my opinion. The most beautiful and dramatic music ever. Not to degrade the music from the other Tales games, but Legendia had a different composer than the usual expected consistency, and thus the orchestrated music came out sounding very symphonic in instrumentation structure. Nothing beats the classical piano with some strings and a wonderful woodwind/brasswind line. ("Big Sister Honwaka" is the best!)

Bishounen/Anime/Video Game/Drama/Etc. List

It's in alphabetical order, but the bishounens aren't in any particular order - do skip if you must! XD I guess it's just to give you an idea of what fandoms I have experience in, but my consistent knowledge is a bit spotty (i.e. I know almost next to nothing about Final Fantasy but am quite knowledgeable on the Tales and Fire Emblem series). But just about all the animes/whatever listed here I have finished.

Also, to boot, I don't take interest in reading manga, strangely enough. I usually prefer the anime, and I think it's because of the addition of voice acting. Don't get me wrong; I absolutely love manga art, but my obsession with music and seiyuus is quite overwhelming. Give me a popular seiyuu, and I can name at least three or four roles on cue. n_n

Overall: Ritchie/Hiroshi (from Pokémon) ...Don't ask why. XD
