Sinners (Beyblade): Chapter 19 up!
An apology to my readers,
I have received a lot of emails (and rightfully so) concerning the woeful lack of story updates. And I really cannot blame you guys, and I sincerely apologize for disappointing you all by making promises I cannot keep. I try. I really do try very hard to update but for many reasons that range from personal issues to stagnant creativity to future prospects, I often find myself staring at the blinking cursor on my screen, unable to type so much as a sentence. Quite a few of you have generously sent me tips on dealing with writer's block, but I simply have my spells where I can write like a mad (wo)man for days on end, then lose all will to write for months.
So from now on I will not make empty promises (or any at all) and spare you the annoyance of being let down. I'll update when I can manage to complete a new chapter. Hopefully my next writing spur is on the horizon, but don't hold your breaths -_-'
Please understand, though I will not hold it against you if you don't.
Namarie,
Ladya C. Maxine~

~"To know me is to fear me":
My views on certain fan fiction topics/themes/genres:
Yaoi:Well, DUH, it's obvious I'm a yaoi fan. I just don't care enough for most female characters to want to have them featured prominently in my fics. Some people think that yaoi fans are homosexuals because it's about same-sex relationships. If that were true, then let me ask you this: wouldn't I, a woman, be interested in girl/girl pairings if I were gay? I always see it that women who like yaoi are "straighter" than women who like hetero pairings because we are so focused on the guys we don't even want another woman in the scene. Think about that...
The way I see it, if guys can get turned on by the sight of two girls making out, I don't see why women can't be interested in guy/guy fics. Hey, at least my stories have actual PLOTS, unlike late night lesbian porn that somehow always involve two women doing household chores in thongs and heels. To those who simply don't like the idea of two guys being together, fine with me. Everyone has their own taste. Feel free to hate yaoi from the bottom of your heart. Just keep in mind that I don't tolerate reviews in which people complain about the fact that there is yaoi in my fics. See motto for simplification.
Mary-Sue:Ah, the dreaded Mary-Sue. The curse of rookie writers (and a few downright stubborn veterans who remain hopefully) who want their OC to be well loved by the readers and so make her out to be someone who can do no wrong. The girl who can do it all: sing, cook, tap dance, save kittens stuck in rain pipes, replace car batteries, help build houses for homeless people in third world countries; all without even breaking a sweat or looking nothing short of lovely. Admit it, we all hate Mary-Sues. I'm no exception.
OC's: Despite what many think, there is a difference between OC's and Mary-Sues. Granted, all Mary-Sues are OC's, but not all OC's are Mary-Sues. Some OC's are well written, NORMAL characters. Still, I don't like reading these fics because they usually evolve around the OC. Call me crazy, but isn't fan fiction supposed to evolve around the actual characters in the show? Yes, you're OC isn't perfect like the hated Mary-Sue. Yes, she is a really nice person. But, quite frankly, I don't give a damn about some new character who doesn't even belong in the series, especially not when the fanfic becomes the OC's story. I don't mind OC's in a story, but I hate it when all the attention is focused on them. Why not go and post those stories on Fictionpress.net? You can add OC's if you want (Heck, I've done so myself) but don't make them the main character in the story.
Signing out.
~~ Favourites ~~
~Anime:
Hellsing: Come on! This one just owns them all! I dare anyone to show me a vampire more kick-ass than Alucard!
Ouran High School Host Club: this one has actually replaced Fruits Basket as the funniest anime in my list!
Beyblade: first anime I ever really got in to, so it holds a special place in my heart. Season 3 is the best of them all.
Naruto: love the characters and the fight scenes.
Inuyasha: interesting characters, good combination of humor, action and (of course) Sesshoumaru.
Fruits Basket: former funniest, now sweetest anime fave of mine.
Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X: love the historical references, the realistic and spectacular fight scenes and general look of the OVA's and the anime.
Weiss Kreuz: not really sure...I just love it. The cast is also drop-dead hot. Yeah, there ya go. This one is here because it fulfils my fan girl dreams.
Saint Seiya/Knights of the Zodiac: interesting plot and characters. The art work in the Hades OVA's is exceptionally beautiful.
~Games: (I'm relatively new to the gaming culture so bear with me here)
Kingdom Hearts: never have I actually mourned the death of enemies until now...Poor Organization XIII! Not so thrilled about having Donald and Goofy always around, but once I got used to ignoring them I had a blast.
Final Fantasy VII: haven't played it yet, but I love the characters!
~Characters:
Alucard, Seras Victoria (behold, the first ever female to make it onto my favourite's list), Walter (Hellsing)
Kai/Tala (It's a tie!), Byran, Ray (Beyblade)
Sesshoumaru, Inutaisho (Inuyasha)
Kyoya, Haruhi (behold, the second ever female to make it onto my fave's list), Tamaki (Ouran High School Host Club)
Riku, Sora, Saix, Xigbar (Kingdom Hearts)
Gaara, Sasuke (Naruto)
Ayame, Shigure, Kyo (Fruits Basket)
Shun, Mu, Camus (Saint Seiya)

Now you know more about me. Lucky you. Check out my fics below if you don't believe anything you've just read.
