Author has written 1 story for Teen Titans. You want to know about me? Now why on earth would you want to do that? Oh well. I'm a narcissistic, anarchistic, artistic, autistic, capricious megalomaniac. Oh yeah, and I think I'm god, lowercase g. Any way I obsess about somethings, though Teen Titans maybe the only one I successfully write about my obsession on. Hey! I'm back from my more than year long hiatus. There is something I would like to rant about before I return to my writing though: AU stories. I believe that this genre of fan fiction is the biggest load a crap since the scene in Jurassic Park in the triceratops pen. I mean that as sincerely as possible. AU is not fan fiction, it is original fiction with names of popular characters plastered into the story so you can claim it's fan fiction. Now I am not talking about things like my story where I changed some minor details for the sake of continuity, I am talking about things like, Robin works for the CIA and falls for Starfire, who is a Russian spy. What the hell does this have to do with the original? Nothing. Fan fiction means fiction that expands on, or tells a seperate story in, a pre-existing fictional universe. If you take the characters from a pre-existing universe and plant them in your own, that isn't fan fiction, that is you being too lazy to develop your own characters so you steal other people's. Thank you and have a nice day. | |||||
