Harry Potter Fics and Views
Rock Riddled Road is on HIATUS. I have the conclusion written out but the middle is still really thin and the plot needs developing. I might just post whatever it is that I wrote three years ago and move on to another story instead though. Harry Potter stories are still of great interest to me but this plot, with Good!Dumbledore and Good!Hermione and Ron has lost my interest because I've read too many stories featuring independent, dark, and powerful Harry, manipulative Dumbledore and such that I can't focus myself into this story anymore.
With that being said, my preferences for HP fics have obviously changed. My favourite ships are Harry and any female character who is not Hermione or Ginny or older than Harry by more than a year. I really like Harry paired with minor characters in the story. Also, though I co not condemn homosexuality, I am against slash. However, there are exceptions to every rule. My favourites list contains some really great H/Hr and H/G fics as well as a few slash fics that were too good to give up on despite the pairing.
Favourite Harry Potter story types are:
Independent!Harry, Dark but not evil Harry, Slytherin! Harry, Founders fics where Salazar is sarcastic but well meaning, brother of the boy-who-lived fics, Voldemort's son fics, transported to alternate reality fics, and Azkaban fics where Harry ends up owning the prison.
Inuyasha Fics
I started out really liking Inuyasha/Kagome stories but as time progressed, I fell in love with Sesshoumaru and GROWN UP Rin stories. For anyone interested, Innocent Beginnings by Maggz is on AFF and was the one that totally changed by view of Sess/Rin, and Seducing Sesshoumaru and Suddenly Daddy(which is a Iy/Kag fic with Sess/Rin on the side) by animechick262003 are on MM.org. Regretfully, In A Different Light by theMaven was deleted by FF.net and I can't find it anywhere online now. Also, kuronekosama has some great Sess/Rin fics as well that are not on FF.net.
That being said, there are some awesome IY fics on my favourites list that are on FFN.
Currently, I am in the process of typing out Sesshoumaru's Smile, which is a fic I started after Christmas around four years ago. It is completely finished on paper and features Sesshoumaru, who is the president and owner of the most successful fashion design and modelling company in Japan and who was the demon lord of the west five hundred years ago, and the reincarnation of Rin who is an assasin sent by Naraku to kill Sesshoumaru. Cliche, I know but I love it anyhow.
Also, I am in the process of writing Blue Moon Winery, a (hopefully) shorter, fluffier, and lighter story about Rin, who is the owner of a winery in Canada, and Sesshoumaru, who is the heir of Tainu Airlines and Cuises and is at Rin's winery trying to get permission to cater her wine on his cruise liners. However, once he sets eyes on Rin, Sesshoumaru sets out to land more than just a bussiness agreement. Unfortunately for him, Rin was his ex-wife and Sesshoumaru, being the arrogrant prat he is, didn't even know she existed before.
As of right now, I have many new romance fics planned but it'll probably be a while before any chapters are posted since I left the written versions at home and I'm at college right now.
