Author has written 11 stories for Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Song of the Lioness, Inuyasha, and Mutant X. CURRENT STATUS: At this time, I am not actively working on any stories. I'm getting back into the rhythm of fanfiction after a two-year writing hiatus, trying to settle back into the culture. Also, school is starting soon (SENIOR YEAR BAY-BEEE!) so until I settle into a good working pattern with that, trying to write is not the best plan. I do have a few ideas on board at the moment - and a few more half ideas. My tastes have changed over the past years and my writing has improved, so if you are a past reader revisiting my works (...unlikely after all this time...), you will no doubt be in for a few surprises. However, I'm excited to start up again - maybe writing some fanfiction will help inspire me to write an actual novel like I've been threatening to do for years... It is unlikely at this time that I will continue any of my previously started works, unless I am particularly inspired or prodded. ALSO, I'm currently working on a Guide to Smut. This will be published probably here in my bio. It is a guide to writing tasteful, good-to-read lemon/smut/sex scenes because, quite frankly, I'm tired of the abominations people try to pass off as near-erotica in the general fanfiction community (yes, I know it's banned on the site - this isn't to encourage the breaking of rules; I just want to help people write better). My own personal invention of the times (hopefully as accurate as possible). Rating: T or T+, most likely. SOME IDEAS: Devotion of the Half-Blood Prince - Connected to my previous HBP works, although with some obvious character adjustments in light of HP7-induced enlightenments. A half-poem. Rating: K ABOUT THE AUTHOR: PERSONALLY SPEAKING: I am female and seventeen, publically educated and a five-year fanfiction member. I think that's about all you really need to know about me personally. READERLY SPEAKING: I try to read fanfiction from any genre I'm fairly familiar with. However, since I don't have massive amounts of time to spend, I generally just gravitate towards smut since I'm hopelessly sexually frustrated for no good reason. In fics I'm reading, I look for a good quality of writing, interesting stories, genre accuracy (except for AU) and entertainment value, chiefly. I try to review works in progress fully and helpfully, although sometimes I just don't have anything to say. If you are looking for a beta reader (or just a friendly opinion), please PM me - if your fic is within my genre interests, I'll gladly take a peek. (FYI, I don't do homosexual romance - nothing against it, I just don't.) WRITERLY SPEAKING: Still developing a style. When particularly inspired or moved by a work, I have a tendency to spout something akin to poetry (see Flying, Falling, Fighting, Half-Blood Prince works). Otherwise...I'm an independent person, as well as a strong believer in maintaining the purity of works. So, more likely than not, you'll be seeing a lot of AU, a lot of pre- or post-gen, and possibly some parody (although hopefully I'll have gotten cleverer and less retarded since my last efforts - see Legolas' Slumber Party). | |||||||||
