Author has written 48 stories for Dragon Ball Z, Big O, StarTrek: The Next Generation, StarTrek: Voyager, Smallville, Doctor Who, A-Team, Star Trek: 2009, and Heroes. Howdy doody. I'm Doc, I'm a Brit, I drink copious amounts of tea and I have an unhealthily obsessive streak when it comes to writing fanfiction. I've been called prolific, but that's just a flattering way of saying I'm a hopeless nerd. Which I am. Star Trek 2009 is my fandom of choice at the moment, 'Another Path' being my current WIP project. I can pretty much guarantee that with my short attention span I'll return to one of my other 'doms at some point, so if you like my other writing fear not as I'll probably end up writing it again. I've done some pruning recently to get rid of some of my more rubbish writing and will prune again very soon, so if you want to snag a downloaded copy of any of my stories I suggest you get it quickly, as the story may not exist on here for much longer! My views on Fanfiction: As a reader and writer, my key view on Fanfiction is quite simple: Keep 'em in character! If you lose the character you may as well turn your computer off, or at least return to your fandom of choice with a cup of tea, sit and watch/read it again then go back to your story. If you find that you have to delete big chunks of what you have written in order to return it to a state that the characters fit into, then don't be afraid to do so - believe me, I've done this a few times before! I even retracted an entire story once before because it was so wildly out of character that it was an embarrassment to myself! Genre: Most of my writing is based in romance, but since recently writing for a fandom that has little to no avenue for romance without risking heavy OOC-ness, I have been put through my writing paces. My TAT fic: RIP 'Lady Crazy' (bromance only!) is the longest story I've ever written and has been the most successful for me as a writer. A-Team: We've been having a discussion on the ATSB about what can be classed as 'canon' and when to use this very strong word in association with fanfiction, and also whether slash has a place in TAT FF. I'm still undecided on both counts and am on a perpetual hunt to find the ultimate fanfiction that will answer these questions for me. My work for this fandom has really helped to develop my writing, because on the surface it is a very shallow show, but there is so much depth and history that can be opened and explored; and fleshing out that part of the mythology is entirely down to the FF writer. Dr Who: Chris Eccleston and David Tenant did a lot for the character of the Doctor and I try to channel them when I'm writing Dr Who fic. I'm ashamed to say that I have a couple of unfinished stories, but I'm trying now to get into the habit of finishing everything I start and not letting those pesky plot bunnies distract me! So I'm sure I'll finish everything eventually; bear with me! Smallville: I have always been a hardcore Clois fan, even before Smallville was created, so no amount of Clana is going to sway me from this ideal! My SV writing is a hotbed of UST for me and I intend to go back to all of my SV stories at some point and rewrite them all, as I like all of them but reading them now a year or so after I wrote them I know I can do better! Various Star Trek: Whatever catches my fancy really, is what gets written about. It's such a massive fandom and sci-fi is so flexible that I love having such a wide scope to play with! Reviews, feedback and constructive criticism is always welcome; I've been re-evaluating the way I write simply because of some recent, harsh reader feedback so don't be shy!
