I've been writing since I was 12 years old (in 1983), but I've only been writing fan fiction since the end of January, 2003. I’ve published stories in only four fandoms to this point (see above for list), but I have stories in progress for Stargate: Atlantis, NUMB3RS and The Closer. Please realize that I am an author who does not always take the shows exactly as they come. My Jonny Quest universe is an idiosyncratic amalgam of the Classic show and TRA that leaves out any reference to alien lifeforms. My SG-1 universe tends to disregard any episodes that involve Teal’c and Jaffa of the opposite gender apart from his wife.
I do not plan to start posting on any new stories until they are complete, given the number of stories I have currenly sitting open and idle on this website. None of those stories is abandoned, I swear. It just may take time. Sometimes the story just doesn’t progress, and sometimes my roommate pushes me to write something else and I don’t have the stamina to resist.
My interests outside work and writing seem to be giving me problems. Macbeth and Our Town were a lot of fun, and were very well received by audiences, but the fact is, the theater I’ve been playing about in is pretty far away from where I live. On workdays, going there adds 2½ hours to my drive time, and with gas prices skyrocketing, that makes things somewhat difficult. The Society for Creative Anacrhonism poses the same problem. Events are a fair distance away, and I can’t really afford gas on top of the costs of camping and garbing myself. Sigh I guess that just means I’ll have more time for writing. And maybe for posting.
As I have said before, some of my stories are more completely written than they are posted, but are still in need of editing. I want to try and catch up to myself in some of those stories, so look for posts on them. I hate having those stories out there hanging.
Currently, I am working on two NUMB3RS stories alternately. One of them is almost done, but lately I always choke at the wrap up, so it’s taking longer than it should. The two hardest stories for me to write consistently are Revelations & Regrets and Whumped, which also appear to be two of my more popular. I hope the irony is not lost on you folks.
I particularly appreciate all the reviews I have received. Please do keep reviewing, even if the story is complete. It helps to fuel future stories. Also, if you find errors, let me know.
