Age: All that I will say is this year (the 2007-08 school year) I'm a senior in high school. How frightening.

Hobbies: Drawing and writing. Technically, I believe that I should put "reading" in this category -- because I probably read more than the majority of people in my entire school (that's roughly 1,500 students) -- however, the only thing that I ever read is fanfiction. My parents have informed me that this does not qualify as true reading. I am indignant.

Current obsessions: Anime and manga in general, Marvel and DC comics (as of now, I have taken a particularly interest in the Johnny Storm / Peter Parker fanstuffs floating around), language, and, of course, the all-powerful world of slash. Bow to it.

Favorite shows: Ergo Proxy, Trigun, Full Metal Alchemist, Yuugiou, Bleach, Hellsing Ultimate, Avatar: the Last Airbender, Project Runway, and Heroes (watch this! For the love of goodness, if you never see anything else in your life, see this! It's the best show in the history of television and it's awesome and cool and zomigod -- you have to see it!).

Favorite movies: V for Vendetta, Equilibrium, Batman Begins, A Knight's Tale (just because Heath Ledger is absolute love -- and omigod he's going to be the Joker in the sequel to Batman Begins . . . I think I've fallen in platonic love), Spider-man, Superman Returns and Blood Diamond.

Favorite musical artists: Nada Surf, Xavier Naidoo, Coldplay, Indochine, Home Made Kazoku, Moby, Keane, and Frou Frou. Hans Zimmer is my favorite composer -- for movies, I mean.

I know there's some of you out there, so everybody who likes or is interested in the Johnny Storm x Peter Parker pairing should go to this livejournal community. It's the only place that I've been able to find more Johnny / Peter stuff, and most of it's high quality. Heck, if you go there, you'll even get to see my spiffy fanart for this pairing! If there is one thing to know about me as a fanfiction writer and reader, it is that I absolutely love well-written stories and slash. The two combined are like my ambrosia. However, if a story has a plot that is intriguing enough, I am willing to forgo the well-written objective -- not completely, of course, because I do have standards. Usually, I am not willing to abdicate the slash objective -- that is to say, gen fics I will gladly read and even fics that only have a slight mentioning of heterosexual relations, but not stories that have blatant scenes of heterosexuality. I do not know why this is -- it's just that no matter how hard I try, I can't read heteroerotic scenes. I just . . . can't.

Anything that I myself write will undoubtedly be slash and, I can only hope, will be well-written.

I have decided to finally take The Guards off of this site, seeing as the likelihood that I will ever update it is extremely thin. Thank you to everyone who enjoyed it, and if any of you wish to take the story off of my hands, all you need to do is e-mail me and I will happily give you the files of it that I have saved on my computer. Of course, I doubt that any of you guys will be reading my profile, so this is probably completely useless. Oh, well. And who knows? Maybe someday I'll get fired up again for the story and re-upload and continue it.

Thoughts on Gay Marriage!

1) Gay marriage is not natural, and as Americans, we always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and lyposuction.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans...
