I confess to being a hopeless Harry Potter and Star Wars addict. Concerning HP I would like to believe there is still hope for Malfoy, that Harry and Hermione will end up together (not necessarily before they graduate Hogwarts), and that Snape is absolutely great. The thing I like the most about the SW movies(OT) was the great job Lucas did of portraying the father-son relationship between Luke and Vader. I truly believe that for his son, Vader would have turned back from the darkside at any time, and therefore cannot see why people would insist on writing 'dark Luke' stories. If you share my point of view you can find great stories by my favourite author, Mina.

Edit It's been a while since I did more than lurk on this site. Apologie for the people still following Journey Beyond Darkness, I don't think it will be completed anytime soon. I have a lot of ideas in my head, but they don't add up to one story (too many jumps in time, and too many vignette like scenes). I will probably upload some future chapters I have already written, and hope inspiration strikes so I can later fill in the gaps.

I though I should put this here, instead of rewriting the stuff above. (It's also nice to see how my opinion on fandom has changed). So, I'm still a big LV fan and my sympathy for Malfoy is at an all time high. Harry and Hermione are sadly not destined to be together, though Harry and Draco may be, once they grow up properly (and no, 17 is not grown up, no matter what you've been through). I feel like Draco Malfoy in his late 30s would be extraordinary (with or without Scorpius). Strangely enough I've read more HP/SS than HP/DM so far.

When I don't ship him w Harry, I see Snape as happily married to a muggle who knows what he is, and 1-3 kids. Who he doesn't see as often as he'd like. Might be why his eldest daughter and him are estranged enough that she could hook up with Harry Potter (under another name) without anybody noticing. Yeah, there's a plot bunny there, but since the story won't write itself I'm not going to start it before I bring Journey to some sort of conclusion.

Am currently making my way through Star Trek TOS, with episodes of Blood Ties and Stargate Atlantis thrown in there.
