Star Wars fanfiction "To turn to the Dark Side, Press Three" by frodogenic. PG. This is one of those stories that one should enjoy even if you're completely unfamiliar to the fandom. The only thing the reader needs to bring to this story is the knowledge that there are aspects of (any & all) health care systems that are inherently ridiculous... If you meet this prerequisite and find that this fanfic doesn't startle a laugh out of you than it may be time for you to visit the doctor!

Star Wars fanfiction "Leia Organa, Jedi Knight" by Julie the Tall Terror. G. For some reason I really enjoy this short AU. It's based on a simple premise: what would happen if Yoda had trained Leia instead of Luke? It's been done before in the Star Wars verse in comic form (where Luke dies during the Battle of Hoth as opposed to only sending Leia to retrieve the Jedi Master), but Julie's version is spot on in terms of characterization. Although you may feel cheated by the ending - we don't get to see the Emperor destroyed - it's a fun fic that makes you think and smile; things a good fic should almost always do.

Harry Potter fanfictions "Resonance", "Revolution", and "Resolution" (WIP) by GreenGecko. PG13. 'Gecko makes her own canon. The world Harry lives and works in, is both real and magical. Subtle readers be on the lookout for symbols gallore - also be prepared to mark three or four days off your calendar if you choose to read: epic is only the beginning. . . .
