Im just a person who likes to read fanfics, I like looking at the creativity of others, I would write but Im busy a lot. I read anime fanfics, mostly about One Piece, Naruto and Fairy Tail. I like reading anything really, I like humorous stories, but I read mainly romance because love is such a beautiful emotion, I just really enjoy reading about it :) I am a big shipper of numerous pairings! I dislike fics where one or both characters in a pairing are made into promiscuous, lecherous and playboy/girl like characters that are nothing like them, I think the OOCness is too much, I don't like multi-pairings, I usually stick to one pairing per character because for some reason I cant ship characters from my ships to other characters, I also hate love triangles with a passion xD (Especially ones where the girl cant decide - overall its a silly type of drama element). A common story-line type I don't like usually are the jealousy story-lines, not all of them but just certain types. They often get on my nerves because I see writers writing stories that are supposed to be humorous and endearing when the the characters in the story are threatening their partner/love interest by saying they would do something with someone else just to manipulate them, that isn't a sign of a good partner in a relationship, anyone who thinks being able to manipulate through jealousy is sexy (or funny) is immature. Its usually done by a desirable girl to try and manipulate a guy or girl who may or may not be insecure about how worthy he/she is for his/her partner/love interest. Jealousy and envy are horrible feelings. I suppose it wouldn't do any harm to list the pairings I actually like :) One Piece Luffy x Meat (funny as always, not a real pairing though, but somehow any fic to do with the Strawhats is missing something if meat and luffy aren't mentioned. Silly? Yes, but thats why you love Luffy in the first place xD) Zoro x Nami (When I watched the anime I wondered just why Nami does certain things only around Zoro. Id like to think Nami wants Zoro to pay attention to her, like his debt. The pairing isnt canon, no canon pairings in OP, but I don't care. The couple is very beautiful and I adore their dynamic, Ive read a lot of good fanfiction about this couple. Im sad they get less interaction after the timeskip though) Franky x Robin (Didnt really know all that much about this pairing at first, but I think they make an interesting couple, albeit a strange one xD) I do like Zoro x Robin, but nowhere near as much as Zoro x Nami, Zoro x Robin tend to be exaggerated though. You can probably guess Zoro is my favourite character, mostly from his badassery (seriously the guy is freaking epic!) Naruto Naruto x Hinata (I only thought it was only cute at first, until Hinata stood up to Pain in the anime/manga, I thought that was both awesome and heartbreaking, the development between them is also staggering. I get angry at the Anime because it caters to NaruSaku a lot when that isnt the case in the Manga, that pairing frustrates me. Recently Hinata and Naruto have been teased by Kiba, Hinata is dedicated to come out of the war side by side with Naruto and it seems she is currently on her way ;D) Sasuke x Sakura (I think Sakura's dedication to Sasuke is heartwarming, the main moment I can recall for this pairing was when Sasuke left the village, he claimed to have forgotten something Sakura had mentioned to him, then teasingly quoted something from that conversation, he also thanked her before leaving the village, which im pretty sure he wouldn't have done to anyone else. If you look at their moments in the manga you can tell why the pairing is loved so much. For me Sakura is the person who can save Sasuke from loneliness and give him happiness. Even though Sasuke is kinda evil now I think something could happen eventually, but its up to Naruto now. Though recently it seems Sasuke has been reprimanded by Itachi, he seems to be on course for redemption and on his way to the war, and hopefully Sakura can get some resolution with him ;D). One thing about Sakura pairings that I dislikete is all the crack pairings, I don't know why people insist on pairing Sakura with so many different people, Sasuke and Naruto I understand, but why must she be paired with every member of Akatsuki and then the fans go on about how they 'love' the pairing and how its so 'cute' when all the Akatsuki bar Deidara and Hidan have barely any emotions. My guess is people like to use Sakura as a Mary Sue-Self insert. Personally I really don't like pairings that are solely based on appearance, because people want a character to be paired with a cute boy. I also dont like it when people pair Sasuke with Hinata, they have NEVER interacted. These are only my personal opinions of course. Other things I dislike about some SasuSaku fics is where they try and make it seem like Sasuke should be guilty for what he did (defecting to Orochimaru), everyone knows what happened to Sasuke was out of anyone's hands hands, its not his fault his life was so horrible! I don't like those fics where writers insist that Sakura deserves revenge on Sasuke (or abandons bonds), isn't that a bit hypocritical? What some people seem to forget about this pairing is that it isn't mainly about finding love and 'owing' affection, its about loneliness - Sasuke has been alone for many years, Sakura wants to stop him being lonely but she also wants his love and to be acknowledged by him, Sakura was scolded by Sasuke when she made a careless comment about having parents in P1, she understands both Sasuke and Naruto's situations now. Why should Sakura be bitter against Sasuke? She should be happy he isn't dead, or worse - a pawn for villains like Orochimaru or Madara. If your really a SasuSaku fan then you should know that Sasuke has rarely been heartless or inconsiderate with her, he did far more for Sakura than Naruto did in P1. I dont like any side of the couple in SasuSaku played off as love-martyred. One problem I have sometimes with SasuSaku humour fics is that there is often too much thinly veiled Sasuke hate when tongue-in-cheek humour is used at Sasuke's expense. Shikamaru x Temari (At the start of the series I didn't really think much of Shikamaru, in Shippuden he is simply badass and such an awesome character to watch. I like all the little interactions between Temari and Shikamaru. It could be canon depending on how you interpret all their interactions, especially at the start of Shippuden when Naruto assumes they are a couple. Recently it seems they are kind of 'buddies' in the war and they get a whole LOT of interaction) I cant say im big on the ShikaIno pairing, I dont oppose it but I find the pairing boring. Personally I think they are too different to be more than friends, I think Ino is better with Sai (although I dont really like him) or Kiba (they are similar so I think they go well). Fairy Tail Natsu x Lucy (I think their interactions are funny, plus they are already so close to being a couple its unreal. Natsu is also very protective of Lucy, maybe a little too much?) Gray x Erza (In canon Gray seems likely to be with Juvia, and Erza with I dunno since Im not far in the anime, though Ive read alot about Jellal, and I dont like him. I guess the main reason why this is my favourite pairing is the past between these two, and the way they act around eachother sometimes. From their past I could easily see them being a couple, if they were it would be really funny and interesting. I also forgot to mention that this pairing is the one I like to read about the most. I hate the idea that this pairing is crack.) Other Noctis x Lightning (Crossover pairing, I know its basically a crack pairing, I cant help but feel that they seem perfect for each other actually I cant really say that since we don't actually know what Noctis is like yet but from what I have read from this pairing I am sold, Noctis is usually portrayed as shy and awkward albeit cool, while Lightning is hard as stone, but the character dynamic is wonderful to read about. Its also interesting because Lightning doesn't really have any proper 'other half' like other FF heroes, the fact that they are supposedly in the same Universe makes it interesting no? The quality of Lightis fics is also strangely very high). Naruto is my favorite anime, my favorite character from Naruto is Sasuke. Anti NS I am very Anti-NS - not for petty reasons, but for the nature of the fandom for this pairing, or at least the parts of the fandom I have seen. - NS wants Sakura to sacrifice herself for Naruto... Hinata does it instead But honestly NS is atrocious for all the excuses it comes up with and all the character bashing it does (mostly Hinata and SAKURA bashing, and most recently NARUTO bashing for choosing Hinata). And yet the latest from NS is still delusional crap about Naruto's (nonexistant) feelings of trulub for Sakura, or complaining about their (vague and nonexistant) romantic development - it was development yes, romantic no. Most logical pairing? Far from it - NS wants Hinata to die so NS trulub can happen, how low can you fall? NS desperation is just unflattering. NS tries to downplay significant romantic development between Naruto and Hinata, and then over-exaggerate about the slightest of interactions between Naruto and Sakura, deluding itself into believing it will become canon soon. Ive said it before, if NS ever became canon it would be a worse love story than Twilight, I think Kishi is above ruining his own manga with such an atrocious thing. I think NS needs to see Naruto and Hinata eating eachothers faces before it actually dies for good. That romantic enough for you? NS is known as 'The Zombie' because its been dead for a while, but the arrogance and delusion of NS has kept it alive. Sakura just became a closer friend of Naruto's over the course of the series. Just because Sakura became a true friend of Naruto does not mean romance is coming. In fact, paying attention to Sakura's true feelings and Naruto's true desires makes the fact that NaruSaku was not being developed a lot easier to see. And to the people thinking they are good together, dont kid yourself, Naruto doesn't understand Sakura and one of the only things they can relate to together is their mutual longing for Sasuke (Romantic on Sakura's part). NS is like a child with two dolls forcing them to kiss and love eachother, but it just wont happen despite anything the child does. In NS's world, she is supposed to be heroine along sides Naruto's hero. Sasuke is the villain and if by some chance, he is allowed to be saved, then he is the one that forever must pay for his mistakes. He isn't deserving of a heroine such as Sakura, and Sakura can't sully her character by loving him. Naruto is the light and Sasuke is darkness. In this black and white world, it is obvious that she must walk towards the light and away from the darkness. In NS's world, her light and salvation is Naruto. Naruto needs to be with someone who chose him instead of the darkness because this will uplift his character. No side character with "obsessive" love of him is worthy against someone who has seen reality and practically chose it. If by chance Hinata does get to be with Naruto, then it will be game over for Sakura. If her path of salvation is blocked then gasp! will she now walk towards the darkness?! Sakura will only remain a proper heroine if she is with Naruto because the other choice would be the utter destruction of her character. Naruto loving the girl who hasn't shown he is the light by turning away from the darkness will mean that Sasuke has "won" in the end. Another thing I wanna say is that I hate Sasuke-bashers, the worst kind are the ones who pretend to like him but basically just like his appearance and don't understand a thing about him. It frustrates me when people complain that Sasuke is doing the wrong things, what he is doing is completely foreseeable for someone like him. He was never simply gonna be convinced to come back, that's not how its gonna happen if it does. Sasuke has to come back by his own free will, Im sick of people outside the show trying to manipulate him. As if it doesn't happen enough in the manga. As a SasuSaku shipper I believe Sakura will have a role with Sasuke. I even believe Sasuke could have loved Sakura had he not left, the confession still creates many theories, I think that's the reason why he didn't take her along. - Sasuke was right to leave Konoha. He wasnt advancing fast enough. And as if to rub salt in the wound Itachi came into town and made him look like he was still 7 years old, as well as torturing him for the 2nd time. The same Itachi who made Kakashi, supposedly the top Jonin, look like fodder. - During his time with Orochimaru he never did anything treacherous. T7 were foolish and ignorant to try and force him to come back, they arent even thinking about what Sasuke wants at all. - Sasuke was never planning to let himself be taken by Orochimaru, he had planned it all along. - Sasuke's hatred against Konoha may be wrong, but it is justified and I can understand why he wanted to destroy it. - Sasuke was tired of the Ignorance of Konoha, and as if to rub more salt in the wound one of the first things Kakashi said was to give up his revenge. You cannot forget something like that. Sasuke doesnt want to ignore justice. - Sasuke CAN love, in fact everything he does is out of love. He loves his family, his clan, and his brother, so he fights harder for them. - Sasuke doesnt owe Sakura anything. I believe in SasuSaku. I believe that they can both complete eachother. Sakura can give Sasuke the love and care he has needed for so long, saving him from the loneliness. and Sasuke can give Sakura the love and acknowledgement she has always wanted from him, also saving her from loneliness. - I also dislike when writers downplay Sakura's confession, Yes. Sasuke left her on a bench, but he did it without hurting her. But he showed many things that Night, that he remembers more of his interactions with her than she thinks, and that he cares about her, not once did he say he didn't return her feelings, also notice how his eyes were not visible? And the cherry on top, his ambiguous 'Thank You'. Sasuke could have left her with nothing but a broken heart, but he gave her some hope. Im also anti-KakaSaku, because whenever I hear about that pairing it makes me feel a little sick. I dont even know why everyone likes Kakashi so much, sure he is a nice character but he has made so many mistakes and has had so many bad judgements. He wasnt even that good of a teacher for T7. I dont hate Kakashi, Im just not his no.1 fan. KakaSaku just feels wrong to me. like a sick Father x Daughter fantasy because that's pretty much what they are like to eachother (He is a father figure to Sakura). Its kind of pedophilic seeing as Kakashi knew her since she was 12 and he was 26/27 when he first taught her. Its just too weird. But then again the pairing makes no sense because neither has any feelings like that for eachother. An issue I have with pairings involving Sakura is that she gets used as pairing fodder and as a self-insert. A lot of shippers seem to see her as the Mary Sue self insert that they can use to ship themselves with their favorite character, I dont know this firsthand but I can see huge patterns with the amount of mary sue Sakura fics out there. | |||||||
