Author has written 27 stories for Hogan's Heroes. I 'm a registered nurse. living in the US, and have been a Hogan's Heroes fan since it began in 1965. And a Bob Crane fan since I first saw him on the Donna Reed show. I enjoy reading and writing Hogan's Heroes. Please let me know what you think. I really was curious about the inside of a B-17 bomber. So my husband found the perfect anniversary gift and we flew in a B-17, "The Liberty Belle", over Dayton Ohio. What a rush! I sat in the nose gunner-bombadier's spot, as well as the navigators (a special moment for me), stood in the top gunners position, and the waist gunners. But the biggest thrill was that they removed the plexiglass, so we could stick our heads out the top of the plane and take movies across the tail. It is one of my most memorable experiences. The roar of the engines was deafening inside the plane, they wouldn't have been able to communicate verbally without their headsets. We had to walk through the bomb bay to get to the nose and there were small gaps at the hinges where you could see out. I can't imagine having to shake out a wedged bomb with those bomb bay doors open. Those men-boys were a brave lot! I have several HH stories that flow into each other. The Weaving a Web to Freedom - currently three total, and "Christmas Morning" which leads into "Between the lines". These latest two are based off of the series episode "Diamonds in the Rough" I have been on hiatus but hope to end that shortly and at least finish "Between The Lines" in 2010.
