Me: I'm one of those people who's very quiet until you get to know them, but then refuse to shut up once they've gotten comfortable. I've been told I'm very cheerful. I'm a hopeless romantic, and have a weakness for nostalgia and people with dark, mysterious pasts. I usually end up as the group peacemaker. But I'm friendly:)

Hobbies/Interests: Student at University of Hong Kong. College has eaten my brain. Other than that, I am an avid reader, writer, jazz-and-modern dancer (since about '02), figure-skater (since about '00, but now on possibly permanent hiatus), and artist. I am fascinated by ancient warfare, listen to music almost obsessively, like archaeology, and am studying Japanese.

Random Oddities: I have a dog named Snoopy, sort-of-one cat, and three goats. I love my sleeping-bag. I love sleeping long and late IN my sleeping-bag. I like socks, sandals, the Geiko Gecko, the words 'guacamole' and 'muttonchops', the sound my space-bar makes, and trying to type with my toes. Chairs, boffer weapons, grass, marshmellows, hats, whipped cream, celery, push-ups, and sit-ups are the bane of my existance. I want to build a catapult or a trebuchet some day, so I can take over the world, but I'm not so sure how to go about it. I've also created an imaginary universe ruled by a man named Moo.

Music: My Chemical Romance, Vienna Teng, Evanescence, Metallica, The Killers, Green Day, Nickleback, Flyleaf, The Cranberries, Blackmore's Night, Guns 'N' Roses, and Edvin Martin, plus random movie soundtracks, pop stars, and new age and adult contemporary artists.

My Writing: As you may have noticed, I am currently on hiatus with my fic-writing. Ever since I entered the Amazing World Of Fanfics, first reading other people's and the writing my own, I have been overjoyed. However, real life has an unfortunate tendency to infringe on my time for disappearing into fantasy. (My mom hasn't helped either.) Now I just read, occasionally reviewing, but mostly lurking. Someday... when I have time... I hope to begin again. Outside my fanfics, though, I've got a large number of original fictions, and some poetry.

Yaoi: I read it, and I like it, when it's plausible, in character, well-written and has good plot. (It's especially great when I hate the female lead. coughRelenacough) I like it when it's either canon, practically canon, or not-canon-but-dude-I-can-SO-see-that. E.g. Brokeback Mountain IS yaoi, Saiyuki practically screams yaoi, and Naruto, Gundam Wing, etc... well, you know what I mean. But I don't get yaoi from Inuyasha, say, or Harry Potter. (Mostly.) Incest creeps me out, as does crazy pairings like Dudley/Snape/Mrs.Figg/GiantSquid/Dobby. o.O

Favorite Non-Fiction: Greek Fire, Poison Arrows, And Scorpion Bombs; They Went Whistling; America (The Book); anything by Bill Bryson.
