yay! Graduated from 8th grade yesterday (June 14,2012)! I had to read a poem that I wrote and here it is:
Journeys and Goodbyes
Journeys are the adventures we take to start again.
We have to go through twisty roads, rocky roads, and steep ones too.
We can feel joyous and sometimes we feel blue.
It’s the journey that counts.
We meet friends to help us out, but some leave us and others stay.
You’ll never know how amazing your friends are until you say
Goodbye.
Sometimes we have to leave to find out if there was really something worth holding on.
Don’t cry, because it’s over; smile, because it happened.
Every goodbye takes us closer to the next hello.
We choose to say goodbye to prove that we are strong enough to let go.
Even if you’re a million miles away, you will always have a place in my heart.
Years go by quickly.
We’ve really grown and now we have to go to our paths and face the unknown.
Face the troubles, happiness, and frustrations.
But most importantly face the rest of our lives.
Friends really never say goodbye.
It simply means I’ll miss you.
So goodbye for now, because
