How did I let another two years pass?! How? Anyway, time to update this again. It's hard to fathom that I've been a member of anything for over two years, though in truth I've been involved with most of my internet things for about five years now. I feel old. Blurb about AgiVega and the history of my fandom (Artemis Fowl in particular obviously):

In the past month or so I've been experiencing a resurgence of some old interests of mine, finding that I now have the mental capacity to support more than one fandom at a time without it affecting my studies. In fact, I think having the escape and learning to manage even my leisure time has helped. This has made me reminisce a lot and particularly think about Agi.

For anyone who is younger or just simply doesn't know, AgiVega wrote two rather long Artemis Fowl fanfictions several years ago that were incredibly successful. Amazingly so. For a brief time back then I talked to her quite a lot through email, and on the off-chance she'll ever read this, I just wanted to make it clear how much she affected my life and the direction of it. In the days of the world wide web it's amazing the kinds of seemingly little things so far away that change the way you look at the world. She made me realize the usefulness of commitment to not only writing but writing well and understanding a language for all its nuances. English was not her first language and yet she wrote it better than I did, and in some ways I think that if I were to look back at her fanfiction that it still might be better in syntax than my own.

I have recently decided to look into being an English teacher in a few years. I'll be finished with high school soon, and I at least need to have some general direction even if that's not how things work out.

I had a lot more in my mind that I wanted to say about and to Agi, but it seems to fade to the back of my mind as I sit down to write this.

I just wanted to say thank you to her and to all the people who've changed my life in big and small ways. Sometimes the best friends are those you don't even realize you have until they're gone from your life, through choice or circumstance. Sometimes they're people you have never even met.
