Author has written 3 stories for Hunger Games.

Hi, I'm Doug (or Douglas, whatever).

I'm from England. Being fairly new to the site, I haven't written a huge amount, but I am in the process of writing a Hunger Games fanfic, so be sure to check that out! I'm not gonna lie, I'm fairly obsessed with the Hunger Games trilogy and the majority of fanfics I'm reading are based on the Hunger Games, so if you ever need to check any facts, feel free to ask :)

As I said, I haven't really expanded on the fanfics I've read much, but I'm also a fan of Doctor Who, so I may be open to having a look at one or two of those and, who knows, maybe I'll end up writing one myself. I enjoy writing and I'm pretty big on grammar/spelling, so feel free to point out if I make any errors, but I'm currently taking AS Level English Lit and Lang, so I'm always looking to improve. Anyways, here's a bit about me and the Hunger Games:

My District: District 5 all the way!

Peeta or Gale?: Firstly, if anyone says "Team Peeta!" I growl at them. This is not Twilight. No teams. But generally I'm a fan of Peeta, but let's be honest - he can do better than Katniss - she's pretty harsh. Gale and her would be significantly better suited.

Favourite Book: Initially I would've said the Hunger Games, but now I'm starting to think Catching Fire is better.

Favourite Character: This is hard. In terms of how well their characters are crafted, I'd probably have to say Johanna or Finnick. But, being from District 5, I have a lot of love for Foxface.

Favourite Part: I am actually a big fan of the whole reality show aspect of it - like the idea for the chariots and the interviews etc. But, I also like to see where each of the tributes end up placing.

Favourite Line: "That is Mahogany!" - Effie Trinket

Hyped for the Catching Fire movie?: OHMIDAYSITSGONNABEAMAZINGICANTEVENAFKLJHGLKJLGJKLGHKJL;3J242. To sum up, yes. (Also Brutus, Gloss, Wiress and Cashmere were all cast pretty much exactly as I pictured them so that makes me happy)

I've heard people say that from the moment your name is drawn from that Reaping bowl, you never really leave the Games. I didn't understand this when I was younger. I thought the moment you left the arena, you were showered with riches and left to lead whatever life you choose, free of any of the shackles that the rest of the population has to deal with. I was wrong.

A oneshot giving an insight of how Clove came to volunteer, and how I imagine the District 2 volunteering process to work. Rated T for one reference of violence.
