Author has written 5 stories for Across the Universe, and Shining. My name is the Starkiller, and I am a fanfiction writer... God, it sounds like I'm in AA, doesn't it? Oh well, what're you going to do? I love writing, and I love writing and reading fanfiction. It's a nice escape from Smalltown Nowhere, USA. My life is split into fourths: writing, reading, movies, and music. Besides reading fanfiction, I love to read Stephen King books. "The Shining" and "The Stand" are tied for my favorites, along with the short story "Word Processor of the Gods". I also like the Harry Potter series, the Percy Jackson and the Olympians (and though I read them, I don't particularly think that Heroes of Olympus does the original series much justice) series, the Fate of the Jedi series (though the ending of "Apocalypse" was WEAK!) and pretty much any Star Wars Expanded Universe novel. And Perks of Being a Wallflower. Awesome book. As soon as I get some time, I'm going to reread it, because it's one of those where you're just like, "Woah.". Then there's the movies. I'm so strange, because I like such a range of stuff. I like sci-fi movies like Star Wars, Blade Runner, Total Recall and stuff like that. Give me a lightsaber and the Force any day, it's WAY better than Earth!! There's also action things like Indiana Jones, James Bond, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc. There's also the comedy part of me that enjoys stuff like Caddyshack and Mel Brooks (Spaceballs, Blazing Saddles) films. I'm strange, deal. Music. I'm a rock and roll girl, though I like a bit of everything. I like early rock and roll, psychedelic rock, folk rock, and punk/alternative/metal. I'll just give you a list, though I'm likely to forget something: The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly and The Crickets, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, Punch Brothers (not likely that any of you know them; if you do, kudos, if you don't, look them up!!), Green Day, Emily's Army, Van Halen, Metallica, Guns N' Roses, and on and on and on... My fandoms: Beatles: My favorite is John Lennon, closely followed by George Harrison. My favorite album is Revolver. If you are a true fan, you know it is impossible to pick a favorite song, so I won't even try. I can't even pick a favorite off Revolver. Maybe "For No One", "Taxman", "She Said She Said" or "I Want to Tell You". Hmm... Star Wars: My favorite movie is Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. My favorite characters are Ben Skywalker, Anakin Skywalker, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. I am extremely excited for the sequel trilogy to be released in 2015! Harry Potter: My favorite characters are Fred and George Weasley, James Potter, Severus Snape, Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Lily (Evans) Potter. Thank you to whoever invented the pairing of Draco/Hermione! I love them! My favorite book/movie is The Deathly Hallows. That 70's Show: Oh, yes yes... My favorite characters are Steven Hyde, Eric Foreman, Kelso, Red and Kitty Foreman... Midge Pinciotti also makes my day. My LEAST favorite characters are probably Randy Pearson, Leo and Donna Pinciotti. She's just so annoying and bitchy! She overreacts over EVERYTHING! BUT, I would like to thank whoever invented Jackie/Eric in the fanfiction world! I LOVE it! Doctor Who: Oh, thank God for the invention of Doctor Who!! Maybe it's because that's when I started watching it, but my favorite Doctor is the 11th. I can appreciate the other Doctors and the old episodes, but let's face it: early British special effects SUCK! I enjoy too many of the companions to pick, but Amy and Rory are definitely up there, I know that for sure. My favorite enemies are the cybermen and the daleks. Information about my stories: The Time of My Life: A Beatles fanfic, usually in the view of my main character, Holly. Holly is based a lot off of my own personality, so her responses are usually just how I would have reacted, making her easy to write for. *It would be found in the 'Across the Universe' category. Yesterday: This is the story of Holly McFarlane's childhood. There are lots of times that she mentions things from when she was a teenager, and I always get ideas for things to have happened back then, so this seemed like a good way to clear all that up. You don't have to read The Time of My Life to understand anything, although I would probably recommend it. *Also found in the 'Across the Universe' category. If I Fell The last in my little trilogy. Holly dies and wonders "What if everything worked...?", so she is shown what her life would be like if it had all gone the way she planned. But is it for the better, or is ignorance bliss? That's for YOU to decide! Shine On: This one's based on the novel, not the movie. A story about a teenaged Danny Torrance and his friend (who shines as well), Jade Ryder. Danny has visions of Jade dying at the hands of a shadowy figure, even before they even laid eyes on each other. He tries to ignore them, but perhaps they start becoming closer and closer to reality? This is set inbetween 'The Shining' and King's new book (which I am very excited to get my hands on!), 'Doctor Sleep'. *Found in the 'Shining' category. NOTES: -Hey, do you like the new image cover for "If I Fell"? Hope so, 'cause I drew it! A cover for "The Time of My Life" should be up soon! :) If you made it all the way to here, thanks! If not, I don't really blame you. See you all in the fanfiction world! -Starkiller | |||||||
