Go check out the ending! I have decided to turn If Nothing Else into a bit of a character study of Derek Shepherd. He was never given the proper attention, as a character who had problems to deal with, in the second season of Grey's Anatomy. He went through a very tramuatic event and it was all kind of skimmed over in favor of focusing on love triangles and such nonsense. This story will not be featuring heavily the other characters of Grey's Anatomy. It will feature heavily Derek, Addison, and Mark. The previous two will be featured heavily through flashbacks and memories of Derek as the story progresses. It may mention Meredith but I am not sure it will ever actually feature her interacting with Derek. It will be about what Derek was doing when we didn't see him on screen during season one. I spend too much time watching movies and television shows but I acknowledge this fact and move on because I don’t want to cut back! I first got into fanfiction through Harry Potter. When I first started I was only a reader and never really thought about writing any stories at all. I continued on like that for years and pretty much became addicted to it. Then Grey’s Anatomy came up with a little couple called Addek (Addison and Derek Shepherd) and I was so in love with them that I began to come up with different scenarios for what could and should happen to them on the show. Since none of them ever came to fruition on screen I decided to put my thoughts on paper and I have been writing ever since. I will divide my time between reading and writing fanfictions because sometimes I love to read for weeks at a time while others I focus on my writing. And I am always open to my next favorite show or movie so I may contemplate new writing ideas or look for new fandoms for fanfictions to read.
