Author has written 14 stories for X-Men: The Movie, Harry Potter, Spider-Man, X-Men: Evolution, Pirates of the Caribbean, Office, and Reservoir Dogs. Alright, kidlettes. It's been long overdue, but it's about time that I finally sucked it up and did some updating. My name is Betsy. Over the years I've been on many websites, and had more than one name here on FF.n. I believe I started out as Quciksilverhiei10, then become Stray the Metallic Imp. I wrote bad fanfiction. Really, really really bad fanfiction. My epic tale of Zachary Wayne and Doctor Otto Octavius, which I just read through for the first time in years, is the biggest load of crap I've ever had to read. Jesus Christ in a bucket, did it suck. That, ladies and gentlemen, is why I now avoid writing OC's. But anyway. I've greatly neglected my FF.n account for one reason in particular: I wanted to wash my hands of it. I wrote most of this as a pathetic high school freshman, and this year I'm starting my first year of college. I've been roleplaying on Livejournal for the past two years, and before that I was lurking around fandoms over there. I doubt that I'll ever finish any of the below listed work simply because when I started writing it, I didn't have a plot. I still have no plot. No plot, no investment in the story...it basically means no story. I apologise to all the people who have given me positive reviews over the years during my absence, but unless I get struck by a particular urge to write something (which does stand a vague possibility of happening) I doubt there will be any updates. I also doubt I'll be posting any of the work I've done over at LJ, mostly because much of it has adult themes that I believe would get me reported. If you're interested, I have posted a Reservoir Dogs fic over at Adultff.n under my newest alias: Scandalmonger. Basically, I've for the most part outgrown Fanfiction.net. I will honestly admit that I don't even really miss it. The new ads drive me insane, the people are usually jerks (not everyone, mind. Most of my reviewers and friends I had in the past were fantastic folks) and I've gotten into some really obscure fandoms and some canons so obscure that they're actually lacking fandoms that I wouldn't find anything of interest over here anymore. I'll still probably pop in from time to time just to see if there's anything new or of interest. I'm personally waiting for the The Incredible Hulk fanfiction boom to take place, as I'm hankering for some Banner/Blonsky or Blonsky/Anybody fic, but that's about it. I probably won't be updating. Posting new fic. Or even reviewing. You really might as well start thinking of me as retired. Peace Out, ducklings. It's been a good run. | |||||||
