Hey guys,

A colleague sent a link to this profile to several other colleagues. I've kept my fic separate from my professional life for 7 years, and with the exception of the two stories below, that's not changing.

My profile, and the rest of my fic, will be being moved to a new penname. I'm not sure how to do that without losing reviews, but there you are--some things can't be helped. I'll try to let all of you know, somehow, what my new penname is--or at least those who've reviewed heavily or have me on Favorites or alerts.

Later note: I've saved all the reviews from the 10 stories I've deleted--I'm sad to say that given the fact that I'm in med school, the 52-chapter "Falcon and Falconer" won't be being reposted anytime in the next month. Most of the other stories won't, either--but I'll do my best to send out my new profile name by Thanksgiving.

Yet later note: For those of you who Favorite-d stories that are no longer posted and want to re-add them once I post them again, drop me a message and I'll include you in the "this-is-my-new-penname" message.

2/13/13 update: I've decided, as a matter of principle, to consolidate my fic on AO3.

I generally don't write 'adult' fic; and if I did, I wouldn't post it here. But I've been using this site for 10 years, and have observed a troubling pattern in FF.net's periodic 'purges'; they become more draconian with each iteration. This latest has included material not considered 'adult' on any site but this--or indeed, in any bookstore. I disapprove of censorship in general, though I can understand why it might in some very limited circumstances be necessary; but it is, like fire, a dangerous and very destructive tool, and should be used with great caution and in small amounts. FF.net has repeatedly disregarded this truth.

This is not my site, and I have no control over its policies, but I am likewise not obligated to use it despite its disturbing practices. I'll be leaving this profile, and these two fics, posted here; but the rest of my work will shortly be moving offsite. Again, those of you who wish to know my new penname can message me at any time.
