The biggest misconception is that “success” has to
do with how much money you make. It doesn’t. Success has to do with
your own personal goals and the journey to go on to attain them. Sure
money is great; money is only the “agreed-upon” exchange for your time
and for your actual value to the project. Money can buy some pretty
cool things, but it does not solve any of the problems you might
encounter in life, or in your career–that only comes from taking full
responsibility for your career and acting upon it.

Wahoo! The ever changing profile. I be Shakia, love loads of different
fandoms though am passionatley obsessed with Stargate and Stargate
Atlantis fandom :) There are three things I love most in Stargate
Atlantis: Shepard/McKay friendship fics/scenes, Rodney himself,
Sam/McKay fics/scenes, and then Michael who just rocks my world. But
yea, as I said I'll always go for a good Shepard and McKay friendship
fic, which are totally the best in my oppinion. It's funny because I
used to totally hate slash, particularly Atlantis 'cuz the whole basic
principle of the thing sort of defies Rodney and Shepard's great best
friend thing. But then I find an actual amazing author who writes
slash. Stupid awesome author. So yea, somehow she's managed to get me
addicted to it. I even write some on occasion at Wraithbait.com. Yay
for Wraithbait! But anyways, I also love other fandoms as I've said
before, like Andromeda, Farscape or Fullmetal Alchemist, but the list
is pretty long and I'd rather not bore you with it at the mo. If you'd
really like to know, my favorite shows are listed below. :D
I'm also not really talented at writting fanfiction in the least, and
have deleted a lota stories. I still have a bunch I wrote a year or two
ago and even recently, but honestly, I only ever keep most of them
there because of the reviews. How someone could ever like that crap is
beyond me. O.o Yea, and for whatever reason if you're curious about the
quote above Nancy Cartwright (hee, along with David Hewlett XD) is in
all ways my complete hero and the voice of Bart Simpson from The
Simpsons. At any rate, hail Atlantis, trust me when I say never drink
root beer and eat a twinkie at the same time, and live life in the
knowledge that the third and tenth season of SG-1 and Atlantis have
arived! Dance for ariving seasons!

Favorite pairings: Normally I don't like pairings, but there are always exceptions :)
Stargate Atlantis: There can only be Sam/McKay (it's the kawii!) and the occasional McShep.
Stargate SG-1: Daniel/Vala to no end. And they went on a date! The fawhee!

Stargate Atlantis: Rodney McKay, John Shepard, followed closely by Michael. You gotta love that guy!
Psych: Shawn.
Stargate SG-1: Daniel, Jonas and then Jack O'Neill. :3
Fullmetal Alchemist: Edward
Andromeda: Harper. Most definately.
Farscape: John Creighton
X-Files: So totally Mulder and then Dogget. Dance.

Right,
so time for some kind of ramble. Sorry for those who don't like them. I
know I've made many mistakes in many of my stories, most which involve
the characters and I seriously need to stop and thank those who keep
reading my stories despite that and who have a wonderful honesty about
them. I don't have a beta reader of any kind and so don't catch any of
these things until you guys point them out and it really helps me when
trying my hand at it again. I do delete stories I personally don't
think were good, but not out of some self pity thing, more out of
believing I could do better, or I messed up big time on it. Some will
return hopefully better than ever, while others are forever on my
computer as a reminder to me. :) I can't believe those who still read
my stories after all these times I do mess up horrible, and just again,
thanks so much for telling me when I do. Most of the time I agree with
you completely. And don't get me wrong, I love both Sheppard and Rodney
to death and back. :P
