In General: My name is Josette. I have a couple nicknames like Jo or Jojo or Josie. Some people also call me stupid, but I’m becoming suspicious that is neither a nick nor a pet name. I’m 21, and my cat’s name is Hamburger Phone. I’m a political science major, but you couldn’t keep me from writing even if it meant I’d have to stop breathing. I’m a smarty, but I’m also crazy. Not a good combination. I plan to get a law degree soon and most likely get into politics. Honestly, I used to want to be the next Jennifer Garner. Then I was going to be a rock star. I wanted to be a princess at one point. Next, I wanted to join a clownless circus. I’ve always wanted to be a teacher. Now I just want to save the world. Seeing as we’re in a world that needs saving and all. I guess my plan is to do it one person at a time. Sooooo... Put a smile on yourrr faceeee. Make the world a betta' place. Yeah, I also randomly burst into song and dance. Only...I can't dance.

I have really good grades. Let’s just get that out of the way so I don’t intimidate you. One time, I laughed so hard and for so long that I started crying. I also managed not too long ago to slice my finger opening a door. Not too common, I would think. If you’re a stranger, I don’t talk a lot. Get to know me, you won’t be able to shut me up. At least half the time.

As far as I'm concerned, everything is always a work in progress, including myself. Everything stands to be improved. I realize I'm no Mark Twain, but then again, Mark Twain was no me, even if that isn't saying much. I believe in a lot of things. I'm an idealist, but I don't plan to spend my life just talking about things. I'll leave that to those who are good at it. Otherwise, there isn't a lot to say. I'm random. I can be a perfectionist and I can be sloppy. Peace=Love. Golden retrievers over Labradors. It's the principle of the thing. My sister is always stealing my shoes and my headphones. Review are chocolate, as someone very wise once said. I like quotes.

Stories In-Progress:

One Frayed Hat: King Kong FF. EnglehornOC. There are three things you need to know about this story. Jo Williams takes skulls as souvenirs. The Captain has blue eyes. And monkeys are the key. Readers of OFH have merit to judge me since the shortening of my name is the same as this character. I won't lie and say her name was not inspired at all by this fact, but I will add that even though it isn't all coincidence, Jo has grown into her name and made it truly her own. Also, I created her. So there. :-)

In Between: The Host FF. Series of one shots that take place between the time Wanda leaves and returns. So far: Melanie, Ian and Jared. Coming soon: Jamie, Wanda. Also: Going to renovate the chapter from Jared's POV. Most people took it as a Jared/Wanda ship, though I never intended it that way. Reading it over though, I can see where they were confused.

Stuff of Legend: Doctor Who FF. Collection of one shots, mostly concerned with the Doctor and Rose, my favorite pairing. Could be Nine or Ten or both. (Not like that, you pervy.)
