Author has written 3 stories for Star Wars, Thor, and Lord of the Rings.

Hey! I'm AaylaKit of Niflheim, and this is my fanfiction account. As you've probably guessed.

NOTE: If you're coming to my profile because I left a negative review on your story, please stop and reconsider before you send an angry message complaining about how much you hate me. Seriously.

ANOTHER NOTE: Okay, I love being mentioned in stuff, but seriously, if my screen name is right in front of you, please spell it correctly. If the 'Niflheim' bit is too hard, you can just call me AaylaKit or Aayla.

FANDOM: Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Merlin, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Star Trek (mainly TOS), and The Avengers.

NAME: You can call me AaylaKit... or, if that bugs you, Lokasenna. (A nickname my sister gave me based off of a piece of Norse mythology.)

AGE/LOCATION/STUFF I'M NEVER GIVING OUT: Not telling.

GENDER: I'm female.

PSA: THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT GUYS, SO PLEASE READ IT.

Hello, everyone! I'm going to address something that we've probably all seen at some point: ship-hating.

If you don't know, ship-hating is when a person, or group of people, decide for no apparent reason that a ship which some people like is Wrong and Bad and Why We Can't Have Nice Things and devote a good portion of time on fanfiction to making sure that That Sort Of Thing will never happen. It can also be a group of people who love a certain ship to death and start hating people who decide that eh, it's not their cup of tea.

You know who does this stuff? Pretentious, immature little brats who believe that their word is law. No, not law, better make it caps. Their word is LAW.

Don't be these people, please. Imagine this scenario. You open up your favorite fandom and see, let's say, a slash pairing. Let us pretend, for a while, that you are one of those people who just hates slash. (Whether it's against your belief system, which is true for many, or you just don't like it, or whatever, I'm not judging.) And here, in your favorite fandom, some horrible person has shipped Sam with Frodo, or Anakin with Obi-Wan, or Dean and Castiel, or Sherlock and John, or whatever's a popular ship in that fandom. What do you do?

If you choose to scroll past the story and read one that you actually will like, congratulations! You have done the right thing. You have decided to let people who like a certain thing like their certain thing, and go and like whatever thing you like. Have a cookie for being a decent human being.

However, there are some certain people who just will not let this slide. They don't sleep at night, knowing that somewhere, there is someone with a different opinion from them. And these people are the pretentious immature little brats I was referring to earlier. They will NOT allow something like this to go unpunished! They open up that story, and they go right down to the review box, and they tell that silly little author who dared to have their own thoughts exactly what they think of ridiculous notions like 'individuality'. "U SHUOLDNT SHIP DIS!!11!" they write. "I HTAE THIS SIHP! EVVERY1 HOO SHIPS IT SHULD DIE!!1!" (Or, and possibly worse, they write properly. It is somehow worse to know that the person who despises your very existence because you happen to like something they don't actually believes what they are saying and is not just a spamming troll.)

This, my friends, is the wrong thing to do. No cookie for these people.

Now, I by no means wish to imply that only slash shippers receive this hate. Slash was just the easiest thing that I could use as an example, and something just about all fandoms have. But many shippers, slash and non-slash alike, will receive hate at some point, and no hate is right.

By the way, watch your profile. Saying "I don't really like this ship, but I love this one" is much different from saying "I hate this ship and everyone who ships it should die and this is why because I hate it so much".

Then there's the other type. Loving a ship so much, and knowing that this ship is The Ship To End All Ships and then discovering that someone ships one half of your One True Pairing with someone else! The horror! The people who hate just cannot stand this and will write long reviews about how that ship is awful and horrible because how can you not ship this other one? It's practically canon! Look at how their eyes meet for approximately .000003 of a second! They were made for each other!

Yes, Johnlock fans, I'm looking right at you. (Well, some of you. Actually, most of you. Some of you are decent and nice, but are you aware that some people on, oh, Tumblr, are literally terrified of mentioning the fact that they may not like your ship because you guys have such a track record of spamming with hate? I wish I was kidding or exaggerating. I really do.)

But not just at you guys. Anyone else who decides that their ship is So Totally Canon and that the writers and/or producers of this book/show/movie/game are just keeping these characters apart to be unfair to the audience, because Everyone Who Is Anyone knows that they are together, and anyone who says differently must be some evil spawn of whatever devil you believe in sent to destroy True Love is guilty of this kind of thing. And I'm telling you, you need to stop.

You should never hate another person because they like something you don't. You should never hate another person because you like something they don't. You do not decide what ships are okay to ship, you do not decide what ships are okay to not ship. I don't decide these things either. No one decides these things.

TL;DR: Don't hate people whose opinions are different from yours and everyone will be happy.

Now please signal boost this, because I am so freakin' tired of seeing people get hated for their opinions on pairings. (Credit back to me is nice, but not necessary-- just get this message out there!)

THINGS I SHIP: Aayla Secura/Kit Fisto (from Star Wars- does it show?), Ten/Martha (I feel so sorry for her), Nine/Rose, Eowyn/Faramir, and, whoah, so many others. I have some love/hate relationships with certain slash ships in certain popular and old fandoms. (Sadly, I don't want to disclose them here because fanfiction still isn't a totally safe place for shippers. See above.)

THINGS I LIKE: Oooh, Norse mythology! (And if you guys know what Thor and Loki are ACTUALLY supposed to look like, you go up another level in awesomeness. When it comes to Thor, think more Volstagg than Chris Hemsworth.) Greek mythology is awesome too. Egyptian is really weird, though. I love humorous stories, and occasionally some good angstyness if it's well-written. Authors who respond to reviews (it's a really good way to keep anonymous reviewers reviewing. It makes us feel like the author actively cares about our opinions), really good OCs, Boba Fett, my sister (her username's Vana Jedi), steampunk (sound weird? I totally love the style of it), Star Wars, Doctor Who, the Avengers, Merlin, LORD OF THE RINGS, Sherlock. There's probably more.

THINGS I DON'T LIKE: When people say "I suck at summaries" in their summary. Typically the summary was perfectly fine before they added it. Peope who say that they're so book-nerdy because they happened to read Twilight (that...THING...is not a book), pairings with clones of Jango Fett apart from Boba (it's a good idea in theory, but they age twice as fast, making for a heck of an age difference pretty quickly), OCs who are female clones, Tenth Walkers, and some other stuff that I'm not going to mention because I don't want to seem pessimistic, even though I occasionally am.

AAYLAKIT OF NIFLHEIM'S FANFICTION CHALLENGES: This is where I put stuff that I'd love to see done, but have tried and am unable to do. (I swear Boba's character was created for the sheer purpose of tormenting me with its unattainability). Use them for prompts if you wish. They're really random, but will hopefully give you ideas. More will come. And hopefully these are good enough so that you can get some use out of them. (I really want to see these! Send the link to me so I can see them! If, of course, you're wonderful/bored/crazy enough to do them... *hopeful smile*)
1. Write a oneshot of any pairing or genre that is based around the theme of l'espirit de l'escalier. (That's the act of thinking of a comeback when it's too late to deliver it. For Hitchhiker's geeks, it's like a man saying "and another thing" twenty minutes after he's admitted he's lost the arguement.)
2. This one's just for the Avengers archive. Loki has always been good at lying, so how will the team handle it when he uses their deepest fears/secrets/I don't know, you're in charge here against them? Bonus points if a member turns to Loki's side.
3. This Star Wars one is only because there is a severe lack of stories (read: NONE) that have it, and I really want to see it, so yeah, it's all for me. Someone please write a story with Ahsoka Tano and Boba Fett that is friendship, not romance.
4. Another one for everyone. A villain (be it Darth Vader, Loki, the Master, or someone else), is revealed to have been working for another side (the Rebels, the Avengers, the Doctor...hey, why do they all begin with "the"?) all along.
5. I want a LOTR Dark!Samwise fic. I don't believe one exists. Still, I really want one...
6. One character gets a potion that will give them the one thing they most desire (invincibility, love, the destruction of their enemies...). The catch? It works only for one day.
EDIT: I decided to make number 5 a reality! I'm sure one of you guys could do better, but you'll see it on my stories. It's called "The Last Ringbearer".

SOME TOTALLY AWESOME QUOTES AND STUFF:

"I'm not weird, I'm just crazy!" -My sister, Vana Jedi

"I am Loki of Asgard, and I am burdened with glorious purpose."- Loki

"YOU DO NOT REQUIRE TEA?"- A Dalek

"THEY'RE TAKING THE HOBBITS TO ISENGARD!" -Legolas

"Reality doesn't care if you believe it."- Boba Fett

"This guy's brain is a bag full of cats."- Bruce Banner

"SOMEDAY I WILL TOWER OVER EVERYONE! With a stool."- A friend of mine who is short

"Now give us a kiss."- Loki (okay, so that bit was deleted. Who cares? It was cute!)

"Don't leave me here alone! Don't go where I can't follow!" -Samwise Gamgee (I CRY. EVERY TIME.)

"I'm the Doctor, I'm worse than everybody's aunt!"- The Doctor

"UTINI!"- A Jawa

"Did I just fangirl over Sauron?"-Vana Jedi again

"Stop talking, you're lowering the IQ of everyone in this room." -Sherlock Holmes

"Why you stuck up, half witted, scruffy looking nerfherder!"- Princess Leia Organa

Don't spam or troll me. It's not the Jedi way, and, well, I just invited a ton of trolls there, huh? Still, most of you guys are pretty terrible trolls, anyway. I mean, there's an art to it, you know?

PM me if you want to talk. I love talking, personally. :D

I'm on DeviantArt as StillReadingBooks. It's all digital art there, so sadly you can't see my awesome drawings because I have no idea in all the Nine Realms how to work a scanner. (This is NOT the place to send me a PM about how I can buy a new scanner and get fifty percent off it.)

Think that's it for my profile. Check out my stories, please! I have not abandoned them, but my school is one of those long and torturous ones that believes that Fun is an abbreviation for Flying Under Nooses-- that is, something that should not be done, ever.(Unless you really like getting hanged...) So if I'm not in school, I'm probably doing school work. But I write when I can.

May you know that the Force is always with you, the cake is a lie, the odds are ever in your favor, and that you do what you WANT!

-AaylaKit of Niflheim
