WHERE I'VE BEEN, WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO, WHERE I'M GOING

Dear readers,

Thanks so much for your partronage :) As you can tell, I... Really haven't made an update to my Lupin stories in a while. I'm sorry, and you have my fullest apologies for such. I should have offered up an explanation then as to why I stopped updating, but I didn't. Truth is I went weeks and weeks without an update and felt like such a heel that after a while I figured it'd be better to stay away from this place all together. That isn't the only reason though.

Within months I lost both my job and the grandmother who had lived with me and my family for my entire life. While I loved my grandmother, she was ill in her last few years--And I started to write this fanfic to help cope with that, even if I didn't realize it at the time. After she passed I felt myself in a completely different mindset than I had been, and it was very difficult to be able to sit down and act with the same characters' voices I had. It just wasn't there. I also had to deal with the problem of inspiration--I wrote mainly Lupin fics, and while it's a wonderful series, after a lot of the U.S.'s exposure dried up, I won't lie, it was hard to keep interest in writing my stories, although I still dearly love the characters, I love RPing the said characters, and Lupin III still stands as my favorite anime of all time. Also keep in mind that I had just turned sixteen when I started these stories--I am 23 now. That's an awful long time to keep up with something; if I'm not mistaken, the original Lupin manga didn't even run so long. I managed to meet some wonderful long-time friends through this site, friends I still talk to today even though, like me, they tend to not write as many Lupin fanfics as before.

So now is the question what's in store for them? Am I going to finish these? Yes. When, I can't say. But I do want to give them a proper ending, it's only right. In case you're curious I have kept up with my fanfic writing, but I've ventured mainly into another series--Keroro Gunso (aka "Sgt. Frog"). I may post some of those stories here, but whether or not that will come to pass is still up in the air.

If you're reading this and wondering why the stories suddenly cut off, this is your answer. I'm sorry if you came as far as you did in your reading to find no updates, but don't worry, this isn't the last you've seen of the gang.
