Author has written 13 stories for Harry Potter, Once and Again, and Twilight. I write because it makes me happy, plain and simple. I started a long time ago with two voices I couldn't shut out, and have progressed from there. I love it. Do you need another explanation? I've moved on from those two voices to Draco and Ginny, who are my true muses. I love them, and they love each other. The rest of HP fandom be damned. P.S. I know that Ginny's name is Ginevra, not Virginia - however, quite a few of my stories were written before JKR announced that bit of information. So, in some of my earlier stories (Seven Year Drought, She's In Love, Not a Moment Too Soon, and Harder to Breathe) I call her Virginia. Please stop telling me that I've made a mistake... I really haven't. I'm just too bloody lazy to go back in and fix it. Understood? Info on C2: I'm crazy busy right now (and I feel like my community partner is as well), so I'm not so much reading new things. If you have a rec for the C2, feel free to e-mail me (via PM). I'm trying to have a week turn around, but I'm promising nothing. Please be patient with us - I'm a teacher, as well as a grad student. Like I said, crazy busy. Thanks for all of your support. Also, save me & yourself some time - one of the first things I look for is proper formatting when it comes to statements, punctuation, etc. You know all of that stuff you learned in grade school and never thought you'd have to use again? (For example: Commas go INSIDE a quotation when a character is saying something.) This is one of my pet peeves and when I see it in a fic, I almost immediately stop. Do yourself a favor and get a beta. Lots and lots of people volunteer - go over to http://www.twilighted.net/ and visit the forums, or investigate http://community.livejournal.com/ptb_twilight/389.html to see if someone there would be willing to help. Or ask a friend. Trust me, no one is perfect and we all make mistakes. I consider myself a fairly well-educated person, yet I still have a friend look over any fic I write before I publish. It's just a good idea. I won't mix words when I reject your story. I won't mean to hurt your feelings - but it doesn't mean it won't happen. | |||||||||||
