I cook and bake, knit and crochet, read and write. I'm versatile like that.

Although I write for myself, I try my best to write well for my readers. What's the point of telling a story if people hate the way you do it?

The Princess Bride is, hands down, my favorite movie. It imparts these two important lessons: Life is not fair and True Love conquers all. I think it describes my romantic/pessimistic outlook quite well.

From my post in the Writers Anonymous forums:

I know I'm creative because I find inspiration for my stories everywhere: two people sitting at a bus stop, my grandfather's tales about growing up, or a scene in a TV show.

I know I'm a writer because I review my stories while I'm lying in bed trying to sleep. I'm a writer because I structure my plot, craft my sentences, and painstakingly edit my work. I read lots of books, learning how each author tells his/her story and analyzing how to incorporate or remove those things in mine.

Anyone can tell a story, but it takes effort to be a writer.

For those of you who have commented that you enjoyed reading teen!chester Sammy and his crush on Buffy in my story, I highly recommend Approaching Normal, by restive nature. It's an excellently written Buffy/Sam story that doesn't have nearly enough followers or reviews on this site.

I, TikiPrincess, hereby promise to gift a story to 12 people over the course of the year.
