Anime is my love and writing is my passion. Combine the two and I'm in heaven.
As the the mIRC channel, that proved to be a big bust. No one ever logged on, very sad. So I won't be going back there anymore. But if you'd still like to chat one on one, I'm available on AIM at aamishi@netscape.net, and on YIM at a_amishi@yahoo.com, and on MSN Messenger at a_amishi@hotmail.com. I can be accessed on fanficauthor@gmail.com as well.
March 13th, 2008 Update:
I am so sorry for not updating for so very long. Life has a way of taking over everything at times and while I would still kick ideas around in my head, rarely did I have time to actually write up anything. I did write a few things from time to time but never complete enough to post. Then the totally unexpected and unbelievable happened, my son, Jeremy who was in the Navy, died, unexpectedly. He passed away on February 7th 2008. The funeral was held on the 9th. He is buried at Fort Sheridan Cemetery, Highwood, IL. Jeremy was the third of my four children and such a special treasure and joy to me. We shared so many things, a love of fine foods, a love of anime and of fanfiction. While I loved to write, he loved to read, though not necessarily my works (too mushy for his taste). He was a lifer Scout, having started as a Tiger Cub in Cub Scouts and going as far as Star in Boy Scouts before he turned 18 and continued on in his troop as an Assistant Scoutmaster for three years. He was involved in Civil War Re-enacting as well and was a black belt in Koryo Gumdo (Korean Swordsmanship). He joined the Navy on October 2007, and graduated basic training on December 7th 2007. He was on hold for continuing his schooling as a culinary specialist when suffering from serious flu-like symptoms, he collapsed and struck his head on the deck (in the Navy, even buildings are referred to as ships and the same terminology is used). He was taken to the hospital for serious head trauma. This was Sunday, February 3rd. On Monday, he seemed to be on his way to recovery. He was awake and lucent, but overnight he took a turn for the worse. They performed surgery to remove a portion of his skull to relieve pressure on his brain, but it did not help and he was essentially brain dead at that point. They kept him alive on life support through Wednesday to allow his older brother, Josh (who is in the Army and was stationed in Maryland) time to fly in and say goodbye to his brother, and for his maternal grandmother to fly in from Mexico as well.
Jeremy was surrounded by family and friends during his last few days. His mother rarely left his side and his brothers and sister were with him nearly as long. Cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, friends and church members all paid their respects and wept by his bedside. I never cried so much in my life. Now, a month since he went to be with the Lord, I still can't believe he is really gone. I look at his picture on my computer screen and the pictures I have of him around my desk and I long to hold him in my arms again and tell him how much I love him. Life seems so hollow now. There is such a void in my life without Jeremy around. I know he is with the Lord in Heaven now, and I know I'll see him again when my time comes, but I can't help but want to have him with me right now. We were always so close. He was so much more than just a son to me, he was my friend, my best friend, and my hero. Jeremy touched so many lives, and brought so much joy to the people around him and he did it all at such a young age. He was only 21 when he died.
I don't know if I will ever write anything ever again. My inspiration has dried up and when I think of writing all I can think is, how can I write about such hollow, empty, meaningless things in the wake of this tragedy? How do my stories compare to the real-life tragedy of Jeremy's death? It can't.
To everyone who has been waiting patiently for my to continue my stories, I am so very sorry. I will leave them up for the mean time but I don't know if I will ever write again.
I am truly sorry,
Jess Alvarado

May 4th Update:
I've just posted my first ever Harry Potter fanfiction. I'm very excited about this story. This story was written with the help of Harry.Kissed.Ginny, an outstanding Harry Potter beta-reader from the fanfiction.mugglenet.com website. This story is also on that website and there is a link to it at my website, www.myspace.com/aamishi
Please review and let me know what you think of this story.
Thanks,
A. Amishi
March 9th Update:
Just posted chapter 9 of my Avatar fanfiction, Destiny. Character development starts to take a back seat to action. Let me know you you think.
Also, please check out my site at www.myspace.com/aamishi and let me know what you think of it and what you'd like to see.
I'm still waiting on my beta-reader for the next chapter of my Escaflowne story. Hopefully, she returns it to me soon and I'll post it as quickly as I can.
Asside from my daytime job, my wife and I are starting to lay the ground work for starting our own business. This is starting to take up a lot of my time too. I will continue to write when I can but if it gets to the point where I just can't give my writing any serious time, I'll let you all know. I hope that never happens because I love writing so much, but at the same time I don't want to hold out false hopes for having time to work on my stories, when I know in my heart it may never happen. Please keep checking my profile for updates.
Thank you,
A. Amishi
February 22nd Update:
Just posted the latest update to my Avatar fanfiction, Destiny. If you are a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender, please take a look at my story. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. _
I've finished the next chapter to Escaflowne: All you need is Love, Isn't it? about a week ago and am still waiting for my beta-reader to return it to me. This is a very important chapter and I don't want to post it without it being beta-read so it might be awhile still before it gets posted.
Meanwhile, I've been working on "Hero", "Heaven", and my AD fic little by little, and hopefully a new chapter for each of them will be posted by mid-March. if not sooner.
By the way, I've created my own MySpace site, so pleace go check it out and let me know what you thing. It is www.myspace.com/aamishi
There are links to all my stories from there as well.

January 2nd Update:
Finally!! I finished chapter 8 of AD: A Heart to Love! Can't tell you how thrilled I am to finally post this chapter. Writing it took forever and so did editing it. Seems I'm back to no beta-readers. I haven't heard from either of them in a long time with the other chapters I've sent them so I didn't even bother sending this this one. In addition to this story update, I've also started posting a new story for Avatar: The Last Airbender, called Destiny. Please check it out and let me know what you think.
I have a number of stories I need to update. I'd like your input in knowing which of my stories you'd like to see me update first. Please let me know and the story that gets the most votes will be the next one updated (Aside from Destiny since the first 5 chapters of that story are already written).
Thanks for your support and I hope you enjoy the new chapter.
