COMMON SENSE Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get Parental consent to administer Calpol, sun lotion or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. I think one of my favorite story authors died, but I have no way to confirm. sigh. My favorite genre is crossover, if that be a genre, though I do good horror. I'm probably one of the few that can sit through the Saw movies and eat a brisket dinner at the same time. I've got lots of stories in the works that haven't been published as I'd rather not have a gazzillion WIP's floating around here. Okay. Here's the plan. I just posted the pro for another story. BAD BAD LEESHA! But on the upside so much drama has finally been dealt with that my fridays are now devoted to only three things. 1)Readings for School, if any. 2) Writing my Fanfictions 3) Anime Club. This means I should be getting back on track and posting more regular like. Even if it's not the same story, consecutivly, I will be catching up on things. I've planned out a DeathNote/Harry Potter story with Misa as the main focus. It'll be titled 'Potion Mistress' and come out someday. Also have a Supernatural/Twilight in the planning stages. Still doing research for it though, but if all goes well Edward and company are going to die. Sailor Moon, where Usagi joins forces with Beryl agaisnt the rest of the scouts. Buffy/Mass Crossover, Intended to be titled 'Oz, Wizard Of' in which the werewolf gets Tardis (who was left behind in Ethans shop after the spell brought it to life) and the hijinks that ensue as he attempts to figure out the controls. Buffy becomes his cleaning lady for therapy. Naruto, a one shot that will be titled 'Cannon Fodder' about what happens to the kids that fail their jounin sensei test but pass the academy one. Current Story Status: (Second priority) Time of the Senshi- In Progress. Approx. 8 chapters to end. Would have been first but I crucnched the numbers and find it easier to finish up the arch of FLW. (First Arch) Four Letter Words- In SLOW Progress... and I just realized the epiloge's gonna cross with DUNE. Approx. 5 chapers till this arch is done. After that I'll be taking a break to work on less plot filled things. Kingdom of Heaven- This a dump for ideas and oneshots. All will be Septerra Core Related. Check it out. Ink Blots- A monster I've been wrestling with for a while. Willow gets a different costume on that fateful halloween and kicks some ass. Bad side is they didn't stop it in time... Earth Mother- On Hold- Will eventually get re-written... this is getting prioity once ToS is done. Shadow of Alchemy- Molasses progress. I write this in short bursts, when I have nothing better to do, but I write it. Solar Core- Infinite Hold...yup.
