I'm serving in the military for two years. During which, it'll be training...training...making stupid pranks...more training...

I changed the characters to Ren Seimei and Ruka...ahem, shan't reveal her surname here yet. That might count as a spoiler.

The edited chapter of A New Life included this paragraph I neglected because I thought it was apparent enough from their injuries. I reproduce it here:

In other words, the operation on Ruka's memories was only half-finished.
The back of her skull had been split open and the brain exposed at one point in time,
and in her present state, the two halves had merely been closed back together.
Unlike mine, which had been sewn shut, Ruka's head was dangerously fragile.

This is nothing actually, compared to the level of graphic detail I witnessed in the dream that started it all.
As promised in the A/N though, I will up the rating by the time it rolls around to that.

For the moment, I'm quite reliant on the good people at The Review Tag Game to give their feedback,
but in the future, I do hope to gather a sufficiently large readership to sustain itself.

Black Rock Shooter: Starry Skies Tainted By Flood is On Hiatus.

I just barely got the first arc off the ground.
Halo and BRS are known for fight scenes, fight scenes, and...more fight scenes.

Naturally, the story has to go beyond non-stop battling,
so I'm taking my cue from the Halo novels. There is a story behind it so, um, have faith!

The anime episode didn't do their relationship justice.
I re-read Volume 2, took note of some stuff..and finally sat down to type.

Four Swords And a Trapdoor is Complete.

Teaser from the rewrite of Chrome Disaster's AU backstory.
While listening to Two Steps From Hell, bored on the bus,
and scrolling through the backstory of Graphite Edge...they all mixed and a fight scene was born.

I've always bemoaned that in the anime, aside from Lotus vs Radio,
there have been no other epic fights among high-level/highly skilled Burst Linkers.
Something like your 'ancient master duel' that occurs all the time in serials like Naruto,
but tweaked to account for the strict limitations of the game mechanics in Accel World.
Nobody can have great power without having a great weakness in return.
They just know how to better cover it.

Knight's Pride, Deadly Sin is Complete.

Aria In The Starless Night opened up something interesting to me that the anime didn't.
No spoilers here, but it made me question what leaders are.

Accel World: The Untold Story Of The Disaster Armour is Cancelled.

For the third time, I'm having to rewrite this darned story. Oh well...

I've always wanted to fill in that time gap between the first Chrome Disaster and the 4th generation.
However, with new official details coming up,
I'm being forced to have to follow each change as I go when I follow canon. ):

This time round, I'm writing it as a partial AU. The first part will follow canon.
Everything else, with some minor exceptions, will be AU.
Expect more OCs, dream duels, even speculated characters making an appearance (*cough* Graphite Edge *cough*).

And after reading the rest of the AW fanfics available...
...suffice to say that I am not putting in OP Gary Stu and Mary Sue avatars.
When designing characters, I really do want to make them believable - believably flawed.
Otherwise, there's no reason for them to grow in a story.

Edit: I don't think I want to bother trying to connect the end with the plot properly anymore,
so maybe I'll even redo the fifth Disaster Hunt (Cherry Rook) and then spoil everybody by making the sixth Disaster...*cough cough*.
In other words, you'll get an awesome King vs King fight and the duel of the century...which... which I can't spoil here, not yet at least.

The new story's title will be an allusion to the number seven thousand - the number of years in the accelerated world in which the Armour had existed.
