Author has written 1 story for Supernatural. Stories? I'm back to writing something, but I don't know how far it'll go. About reviews: If I leave any type of criticism in a review, keep in mind that I don't expect anything from you. Maybe some people are wondering what that means... If I leave a review, yes, that means I've read the chapter (unless I specifically mention otherwise in the review). Also, if I leave criticism, then there are things in the story I believe you should to edit, omit, or even change completely. I don't leave criticism to bully, I don't get a rise out of pointing out (what I think are) mistakes/errors, and I don't want anyone to stop writing their stories. There is nothing wrong with revising a story, but please don't let people discourage you from writing. If anything, writing is always good practice. If we want to improve, we have got to practice. That said, even though I leave criticism and I may strongly believe that you need to make certain changes, I know it's your story and you may not agree with me or want to make any changes. Whatev, it's your story and I'm not going to dislike you for disregarding any or all of my reviews. You don't owe me an explanation. I don't want to hear excuses on things such as why you have your character a certain way or why you felt it necessary to have this information. The criticism was left for a legit reason and no amount of excuses and explaining away is going to change my opinion of what I read. What's there is still there, you know. If you disagree with my or anyone else's review, fine. Learn to agree to disagree, and try not to take it personally. While you do have the right to feel however you want over a review, getting upset is only really hurting you and you don't need to do that to yourself. My opinion is that it's not worth it. Again, you shouldn't feel obligated to send a review reply to explain yourself to any reviewer. If you disagree with the reviewer's opinion on the characterization of your story's protagonist or think that your OC needs to have a tragic past (despite other people telling you to drop it), fine, it's your fic. Disclaimer: However, the above bit does not include grammar, spelling, or other basic writing mechanics. Improper punctuation, run-ons, mixing up tenses within a sentence, and spelling errors aren't a matter of subjective opinion. And, if any reviewer points them out, fix them. It's part of the rules in the writer Guidelines and TOS you agreed to. About my forums: They're not actual forums, but just a place for hastily written, rough notes. No secrets. Just jotted down material that I could just link or reference and save myself from having to type out more than once. I know, not very exciting. o-0-o-0-o-O-o-0-o-0-o Writing Help Effectively Outlining Your Plot Using Body Language to Create Believable Characters Developing Character Traits: Mannerisms Developing Character Traits: Part Two - Physical Attributes All Characters are 3 Dimensional, Right?
