I’m Selah: 19-year-old aspiring novelist, writer of the fanfictions, confessed bookworm, obsessive logophile, incoherent and ever-rambling blogger. I write fanfiction set in the Legend of Zelda and Super Smash Brothers universes, read more Inheritance Cycle and Chronicles of Narnia fanfiction than is good for my health, love a good AU or unconventional pairing (I'm especially intrigued with Sworn Enemy ships - Ganondorf x Zelda from tLoZ, for example), am fascinated by the idea of crossovers and have read only one in my life (so my memory asserts), and make a habit of thumbing my nose at canon while secretly obsessing over it. I've been writing for at least eight or nine years now, but have just now come to the conclusion that neither strings of big, obscure words or an over-considered writing style equal a good story. So I'm in the process of learning to tell stories again. My parents assure me that I used to know how to tell a story before I picked up an overly comprehensive thesaurus and went, "Ooh, big words. How pretty!" I'm quite jealous of my younger self, now, xD I've removed the majority of my older work from this site, but have reposted my better pieces at my fanfiction archive, Bluestocking Fanlit (which itself might find itself moved to my LiveJournal. My eventual goal is Archive of Our Own, but that is a work in major progress, xD). Of the pieces that survived the purge, Of Aspirin, Chaos, and Raison D'etre is my favourite. Concerning Nurseries etc. still makes me laugh, and Let the World Smile begs for yet another rewrite to be added to the scores of rewrites that unfortunate story has so far suffered. Of my later work, Moonstruck, an AU novelization of Ocarina of Time, is my love, my pride, and joy. Snow In Spring is cute, random SSB in the tradition of... nearly every SSB fic I've ever written, and Roman Holiday is supposed to be more, but at the moment merely glories in Ganondorf/Zelda and an overembellished prose style I'd thought I'd gotten over.
