Oops! Forgot to update this with the last upload. All fixed now.

I'm old enough to know better, but it still doesn't stop me. One of Hell's Grannies (check Monty Python for reference).

I don't normally write long stories, l I like the little, stand-alone stories, ones you don't have to worry about missing a chapter or two. Lunchtime stories, if you will. If I do write chapters, the story is done when the first chapter goes up. I hate stories that get really interesting but are never finished. I can't do that to anyone ... it's unfair. Backups of these stories are on one of my LJ sites. OK, I give up. I don't think I'll ever get to backing up all these stories other than on my own computer!

My story, 'My Future from the Past', will run through several sets of chapters. Each set must be finished before I post the first chapter of the set. I have the whole story set in my mind, but only about half is written, and the other half is just shorthand notes.

My plotbunnies will not keep to a straight timeline; instead of being perfect little bunnies they are hopping all over the place. I will try to keep this updated. A few stories started out as one chapter but then my plotbunnies decided the story needed another chapter, or a companion story, so ... since my plotbunnies haven't felt it necessary to keep track, I decided to put the stories in timeline order.
I have numbered the years encompassed in my stories by setting the start of Volume 1 as FakeYear 1, the end of Volume 7 as FakeYear 3 . Everything else follows suit. 'Like, Like, Love' is set in fall, FakeYear 9.

I have now put current dates to each of these years. Year 1 is 2003, year 3 is 2005, etc. Year 9 is the current year 2011, when New York legalized same sex marriages. Also, for those characters who had no set birthday (Drake, Ted, Diana, Mother Lane, etc.), I made one up.

The question of time lapses in my story, 'My Future from the Past' has been brought up. I would like to clarify this.

I write Ryo and Dee as regular people. We don't always have earth-shattering events happen every day of our lives. My highlights for the past year are that I retired and I turned 65; neither worth a chapter in my life history.

'My Future from the Past' is a story of the highlights of Ryo's life with Dee. If you go back to the first seven chapters, those events are actually only nine days - from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day. But those nine days laid a lot of groundwork for the rest of my story. Chapter eight covered a little over a month's time, while chapters nine and ten will cover less than a week. Chapters 11 and 12, while only dealing with a few specific days, will cover a nine month period.

As I said before, I am doing highlights, not a daily diary of his life. There will be gaps between some chapters. Some chapters will be within months of each other while others will have years between them.

These gaps I can use later (and for some of them I have) for additional stand-alone story lines involving other members of the 2-7. It is easier to fill in a blank area than to try to work around something already written. Chapters nine and ten were written timewise to avoid any friction with 'When Pigs Fly'.

Major pet peeve: Cell phones (amounts to adult thumb-sucking). You CAN survive without a phone glued to your ear 24/7. ESPECIALLY WHEN DRIVING! And texting while driving now has its own special hell - right next to the child molesters.
