Avid (sometimes called rabid) BJD collector. For those of you who don't know what they are here's a quick synopsis. They are anatomically correct male and female resin dolls, created in various sizes - from 70+ cm down to 10 cm- but they are just unique. Fully articulated, the eyes and wigs of these dolls are interchangeable, giving one doll many different looks. Some dolls have additional heads, ears, hands, and feet (high-heel feet for the girls) that extend the versatility. Check Wiki-pedia for more info. You are never too old to play with dolls. I use my dolls as inspiration to write. They definitely help me with my stories. I never intended to write fan fiction but when I have all these gorgeous 'men' surrounding me the ideas just flow. I even have one doll with interchangeable private parts (keeping it PG language here, for those who are reading this and shouldn't be - you know who you are) I don't write long stories, longest so far is a total of 7 chapters around 18K words. I like little stand-alone stories, ones you don't have to worry about missing a chapter or two. Lunchtime stories, if you will. If I do write chapters, the story is done when the first chapter goes up. I hate stories that get really interesting but are never finished. Can't do that to anyone ... it's unfair. Backups of these stories are on one of my LJ sites. A few stories started out as one chapter but then my plotbunnies decided the story needed another chapter, or a companion story, so ... since my plotbunnies haven't kept track, I decided to put the stories in timeline order: This occurs before Volume 1: These occur in summer, after Volume 7: 'Art of Dressing' followed by 'Would I be Gay?' 2 chapters These occur in autumn, after Volume 7: 'Before I'm Thirty' 'My Future from the Past' These occur sometime between Volume 7 and up to the beginning of 'Like, Like, Love': 'Time of Epiphanies' 'Living a Lie' (a month before 'Like, Like, Love') 'Rocks & Hard Places' 7 chapters.Takes place after Chapter 3 of 'Time of Epiphanies' 'Safety Valve' 'When Pigs Fly" These have no definite timeline, except to be after 'Like, Like, Love': 'Clothes Make the Man' My plotbunnies will not keep to a straight timeline, instead being perfect little bunnies and hopping all over the place. I will try to keep this updated. Favorite anime, in alphabetical order: Excel Saga, Fooly Cooly, Gundam Wing, Haru wo daiteita, Hellsing, Inuyasha, Mushi-shi, Outlaw Star, Ranma 1/2, Saiyuki, Samauri X (Kenshin), Trigun, Weiss Kruez. I have really gotten into BL manga lately, enough to join a scanlation group as a cleaner. Favorite mangaka are, in some sort of alphabetical order, Haruka Minami, Honjo Rie, Masara Minase, Miyamoto Kano, Naono Bohra, Norikazu Akira, Saika Kunieda, Yamato Nase, Youka Nitta, and of course Sanami Matoh. There are definitely others, but the names escape me right now. I occasionally do beta work for FAKE and GRAVITATION. Major pet peeve: Cell phones (amounts to adult thumb-sucking).
