Hello all. I will take this opportunity to apologize now for the fact that my updates are VERY sporatic and there may be months when I don't post anything anywhere.
As a historian, all of my work tends to have some basis in delving into some historical point. It is a theme that I cannot seem to break myself from. However, using historical context to write a story in has proven to be quite a useful tool. There is always something to be learned when I set about to write. This learning process effects both myself (the writer) and you (the reader). The process of exploring history also stimulates my muses who often become weary of feeding me ideas.
Also, a small side-note. I value my reviewers highly. There is nothing that you could say to make me hate you. I accept all criticisms, so I encourage you, dear reader, to be as honest as you can. I myself am extrememly honest when I review my colleagues' work. Take my dear friend Tracy for example. There have been countless times where we have bickered over subtle points of a story and yet remain very close.
Randomness is the key to Happiness! A statement you should all live by. Credit goes to my best friend... Julianna Edwards
And now for some quotes that I find to have some degree of poignancy/enlightenment:
"Art is a step from what is obvious and well-known toward what is arcane and concealed."
-Kahlil Gibran
"The poet only asks to get his head into the heavens. It is the logician who seeks to get the heavens in his head. And it is his head that splits.
-G.K. Chesterton
"Sanity is relative"
- Thomas Rutledge
-"The reason women cry is to wash the bullshit out of their eyes that men try and blind them with.
-Taken from Tracy137's Grand-da (brilliant man)
With the fact in mind that I am but a poor authoress who is not getting paid for her work, I must be off to write more...
Slan!
ps. I have created a FictionPress account under the same pen name, so if you're interested, go take a peek!
