So after many years of leaving this account to rot, I've decided to try my hand at writing again! I'm in university now and with the stress of school, writing is a release and I like knowing that people actually enjoy reading it. I have to admit that I have trouble taking criticisms, but I want to improve on that so this would be a great place to start. I hope whoever reads this actually enjoys my story/stories. I try my best to have proper grammar and whatnot, but my writing is pretty rusty.

note: I do write in the UK-style English, but sometimes I mix it up and write it the US-style by accident, so if you see some odd "u's" put around some words, it's probably not actually spelled wrong.

Stats:

Kazoku (meaning family) is my pet project for now. I wanted to start something that would be different, yet similar enough that I won't completely go off on some OOC tangent. I find myself liking Naruto fanfiction moreso than the manga nowadays. It seemed to throw a lot of characters into the background and cause Sasuke to go all super-powered. I also wanted to try building up a "what if" kind of setting, so hopefully it turns out well.

EDIT: Okay, so I've been completely MIA with this story but I've decided to revamp it and change how I began it. I actually have an outline of what I want, so bear with me!

Paradigm is going to be a drabble/one-shot/two-shot,etc. collection of things that just come to mind, or to practice writing. It may also just be little things I want to try but won't get around to as a full story. It'll most likely deal with Haruno Sakura as the main, but could include other characters depending on any requests. I have a few ideas running around, so I'll post the titles of those I've thought of already.

Favourite Characters:

I actually really like Haruno Sakura. I find her character to have a lot of potential and really malleable in terms of how to portray her. She started off really annoying and just a tad pathetic, but the fact she grows and takes her weakness as a way to motivate her into improving as a shinobi/kunoichi is really admirable. I hate how Kishimoto really subverts her back to the background despite "not having them watch her back anymore". I mean if you learn from the best, like Tsunade, you have to be pretty awesome, right?

I generally like all the characters in Naruto, none of the others girls really stand out to me personally but I do like them in most fics I've read. The males are all really interesting, heck Kabuto is even really cool to me despite the creepy demented guy he is. The one I find myself hating just a little (or a lot) is Sasuke. I mean, he has a reason to be all messed up but I think Kishimoto kind of sets him up for a god complex and all that. I just don't like him very much, but I'll try my best to portray him without too much bias.

What I generally don't read:

I don't normally read yaoi or yuri. There's the occasional OT3 (team7, nejisakushika..basically anything with Sakura) but even I find harems a little annoying at times. I'm fine with homosexuality, I just don't generally read it as a personal preference; probably because I have pairing biases.

I like some super-powered up stories, depending on how far the authors take it. I generally find it hard to read fics with severe bashing, mostly because the quality of writing decreases a little depending on how ridiculous they make the characters act in their stupidity.
