Author has written 39 stories for Harry Potter, West Wing, Diana Wynne Jones, and Heroes. Hi! I'm Realmer, or Cassie, if you like, and before we go any further, there are a few things you should know about me. Just the basics, of course. :) I'll try to keep it to the bare essentials. 0.5 - I am on a fic-writing hiatus until January, due to real life school writing projects (namely, a full-length, original novel) that have to take priority. But I'll be back in 2010, I promise! 1. I value intelligence, common sense, and a basic sense of respect for our fellow humans and the earth on which we live above all else. 2. I live to make myself into a better person, and so I really appreciate constructive criticism in all things and try really hard not to let it sting my pride. 3. I'm not always successful. 4. I still really appreciate constructive criticism because I know some of it will be useful and make me into a better writer/person. 5. I'm a grammar nut and therefore get insanely annoyed by use of netspeak (including verbal netspeak), misused apostrophes, misused homophones (their/there/they're, your/you're), and common misspellings. Poor language usage is the quickest way to get me to click the back button when reading a fanfic. 6. I sometimes suffer from 'delusions of grandeur,' or megalomania, but I try not to let it interfere with my life in general. 7. I'm a sucker for a good male singing voice, inspirational and soaring scores, belting songs written for altos, chocolate, and a well-stocked library. 8. There are several male singers on Broadway who should feel free to come over to my house/dorm room and serenade me any time they want. 9. I am in love with several fictional characters. Most notably: Neville Longbottom, Henry Tilney, Charlie Young, and Simon Tam. 10. I am a twenty-one-year-old college senior who should spend more time studying and writing papers and less time reading and writing fanfiction, but there you have it. 11. I am an aspiring author. As such, I hear voices in my head at all hours of the day and night, carry a notebook and pencil with me everywhere I go, and write fanfiction to help develop specific writing skills. 12. I love fantasy of all kinds and fairy tales not killed by Disney. 13. I overachieve to almost obscene levels. 14. My fandoms are: Harry Potter, West Wing, Heroes, and, most recently, Firefly. 15. I believe that before we can have peace among all people and nations, we must do away with anger and hatred and jealousy among ourselves as individuals. 16. I believe the world can be a better place and I can help make it so. 17. I believe in the magic of Santa Claus, fairies, and laughter. 18. My favorite flavor of ice cream is Bugaboo Fudge. 19. I am a part-time chocolatier. 20. My hobbies consist of such random things as calligraphy and scrapbooking. 21. Good romantic comedies make me smile and fill me with "warm fuzzies," though I tend to deny that. 22. Jane Austen really is one of my favorite authors. 23. I like to think that I would be perfectly content to spend the rest of my life just reading and writing to my heart's content, but the truth of it is, I would probably go stark raving mad after a week. 24. Though cliched, I believe that actions do speak louder than words, that the pen is mightier than the sword, that some things cannot be expressed in words, and that a small group of thoughful, dedicated citizens can change the world. 25. HOWEVER. This does not mean that to understand one, you must read them all. Obviously, this author would be extraordinarily happy if you should feel so inclined, but if that common misconception is what keeps you from reading, please don't let it. An Into the Woods fanfic about what happens after what happens after happily ever after . . . I know, right? 5. I'm doing a 100 table for Simon Tam of the Firefly universe, courtesy of HPFC. For logistical reasons, the WIP will be housed on my LJ, and the entire table will be moved here once it's complete. 6.
