In stories, I value good characterization and good plot. Which means, even if I'm reading an AU story that makes little sense in the original universe of the show/movie/book/whatever, I can still fully enjoy it if it has characters that are in character and a damn good plot. Props to those who can write this well. But since I'm so critical when it comes to these things and more, I value myself as a better BETA than a writer. I can just never commit to finish a story. But maybe, one day...

Regarding my Lord of the Rings story, it's been abandoned. Mostly because it was a joint project that died out quite a long time ago, and I haven't the heart to finish it. But I like to keep it up, for old times' sake.
