Name: I don't really see why I should tell you...

Age: I'm 13...I know, shocker right?! Please don't ask how I come up with these ideas for my fanfics at such a young age...but, people often mistake me for a 16 year old...apparently I exude a mature aura...

Occupation: Student, singer, artist, writer, manga/anime otaku, part time total genius...I think that covers it.

Appearance: Yea, right, I would totally tell you guys this. -_-"

Hobbies/Likes: Going onto random sites and reading anime/manga fanfics, reading actual manga, watching actual anime, listening to random music, drawing made up characters, writing fanfics, being lazy, sleeping, taking a train to libraries with an awesome collection of manga books or taking a train to Barnes and Noble and reading the manga they have there.

Type of Fanfiction I Write: I normally do the canonxOC, because I feel like inserting a character into an original piece with out screwing anything up (besides ruining any couple the author originally had) is what tests a writer the most. Plus, it's SO MUCH MORE FUN!!!!!! If anyone writes a canonxOC story, I'll willingly read it!!

Favorite Anime/Manga: Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, Prince of Tennis, New Prince of Tennis, Fullmetal Alchemist, Black Butler/Kuroshitsuji, Fairy Tail, Black Cat, Soul Eater, Shugo Chara!, Zombie-Loan, Vampire Knight, Ao no Exorcist...I've read a lot of mangas, but, these are probably my favorites of all time. :)

Favorite Music (Bands, Artists, etc.): Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Hollywood Undead

Favorite Pairings for Manga/Animes: AmuxIkuto, Roy MustangxRiza Hawkeye, UtauxKukai, RimaxNagi, SoulxMaka. And...that's all. But, there's no guarantee I won't stick an OC with any of them!!

Hated Pairings for Manga/Animes: OrihimexUlquiorra, OrihimexIchigo, OrihimexGrimmjow, Orihimex ANYBODY (I just...really don't like her, okay?) EdwardxWinry, EdwardxAlphonse (really people? Incest? Good lord.), (Italics indicate absolutely hated pairings.)

-I'm the girl that's a shut-in. I'm the girl who never goes to the party, dance, game, etc. And when I do, I sit in the corner and read a book or draw something. I'm the girl who listens to emo-rock music. I'm the girl wearing the long-sleeved black shirt with dark skinny jeans. I'm the problem child. I'm the one who holds a grudge. I'm the girl that worries my best friends the most. AND SUCK IT UP 'CUZ I'M FRIGGIN' PROUD OF IT.

Rants:

This particular rant is about Mary-Sues, Gary-Stues, whatever-you-wanna-call-'em. I don't get it. WHY ALL THE HATE?! It doesn't make sense. Sure, they're annoying, sure they're useless, sure they're a waste of words, BUT when the main character a Mary-Sue, I don't get what the problem is. Actually, if the character is a REAL Mary-Sue, then yes, I understand. They're just insufferable and make me feel like I wanna rip their insides out, slice them into pieces, chop the pieces into bits, and stomp on the bits. However, just because they can sing, draw, swim, write, have a tragic past, are rich, look pretty dolled up, or are talented in any other way, they are inevitably always accused, by at least one person, of being a Mary-Sue.

Well, guess what?! I can do all of the aforementioned things. I can sing, draw, write, swim, and many other things (which include kicking ass). My life is shit. Family bonds aren't strong, my big bro is a depressed mess, my parents are assholes on a normal basis. My family is also quite well-off. Of course, we're not billionaire rich, but we're certainly floating a little above average. I admit that I'm not a head-turner at all, but any girl who puts effort into their looks can pull off "pretty" or "cute". I don't try, thus I am most certainly not "pretty" or "cute". My personality is surprisingly typical for any manga/anime character. I won't mention how, but I have a split=personality. I am adept at anything I attempt to do. My grades are all good, I'm a neat freak, I curl up on my bed and cry myself to sleep.

According to all those critics out there, I should go jump in a ditch and die. Really people?! Wasn't aware that that many people hated my guts. Wtf, really, wtf.

Because, really, everybody has at least one thing they can do much better than others. Every character will have an unique point in them. It's the author's job to bring it out, develop it, etc.

However, this doesn't exclude Mary-Sues that are SERIOUS-AS-HELL-MARY-SUES. You know those characters that can totally kick ass the first time they try something? Those people? Yeah, I don't believe it. Everything takes effort and struggle. I didn't gain my talents based on pure genius; I had to try and try and sweat and cry ( I'm serious, I did cry a few times).

So, say, that girl OC in the Prince of Tennis fanfic that has never held a racket or done anything remotely related to sports before in her life before? Guess what? She won't be able to play, never mind beat friggin' Yukimura Seiichi in a one-on-one match. That girl in a Bleach fanfic that has never held a dagger in her hands before or done anything more than averagely strenuous to her body before? She is not going to beat Byakuya Kuchiki in a one-on-one fight and suddenly manage to gain bloody bankai.

That's just...impossible. I don't care how "epic" or "amazing" you are trying to make the friggin' character, it is impossible. So, stop trying. It will not work. I will not mention how many stupid fanfictions I have read in which the character is struggling at first, then has this total "inner self is released" moment when everything just miraculously made clear, and then effortlessly beat the already pro-level opponent they are facing without realizing what they are doing.

Just...no. That is so wrong. It's not even remotely realistic. Even if they were a prodigy or genius or whatever-the-hell-you-wanna-call-'em, their body would never have managed. It would've collapsed from underneath them, completely unable to move.

So, authors out there, do try and keep your characters realistic to some degree, ne?

This rant is about copying canon characters:

If an author is going to make the OC kick-ass awesome, then, dear lord, do not copy a canon character.

Sometimes it's not the author's fault when their character is like a canon, like, say, when you make a character have this ability, but then the next chapter/episode of the anime comes out and then, hey presto!, the new character has your character's ability.

But, really, that's, like, the only excuse out there for copying a canon.

It's just...aggravating.

To me, that character is something I created. And, one thing about me? I am proud of my characters.

I put time into them, I spend nights awake while staring at my ceiling figuring out their kinks, I design them, I friggin' draw each one out. I do my utmost to make them real and alive. I make them individual. Special. Unique.

I love my characters.

So, frankly, when I read a fanfiction with a crappy character who is based off of a canon in any way, then, dear lord almighty, I get so mad.

Because if you're going to make a character and not spend time on it or give it an already-created character's power-

-really, that's just insulting.

It says that you didn't bother trying to make a character, that you didn't spend time, that you don't care.

Really, one simply can not get more rude, abhorrent, or disdainful for your own creation.

It's...it's a disgrace. It's so disrespectful to all those other authors out there, with characters they put time into, made, love, care for. It's disrespectful to the characters.
